After weeks of eating subpar Asian food in the USA, we finally decided to try Saigon Sun, our local restaurant just a few hundred meters from our home. We were surprised we hadn't been there sooner! We were warmly greeted by Lee, who knew my partner Jim from years before. We started with delicious curry puffs and then ordered the lemon chicken and roti with duck for our main courses. This small restaurant in Altona may be small in size, but it has a welcoming and friendly lady who greeted us and seated us. Despite its size, the menu is extensive and they handle many phone orders. The service was quick and efficient once we placed our orders. The food was delicious and they also serve alcohol in the dining area. The prices are reasonable, and I would recommend this place. I will definitely come back when I am in Altona again.

When you first walk into Li’s Saigon Sun, you are generally greeted by the ever smiling owner Li. This little Vietnamese restaurants tucked away in the back of Altona is a real gem of a place. The food is wonderful, the decor is simple and...you can’t help but love the noise when this place is full of people. The food is consistently good and the customer service always on point. I was often in this restaurant. eat them in or take them away they have the best food ever. I recommend everything with satay, as it satay sauce is authentic vietmanese . the restaurant is easy so that no dresses and the owners are. the best. can not eat over there enough rave .

The food at this restaurant is consistently fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The staff are welcoming and efficient. I highly recommend trying the Salt and Pepper Squid, it's the best in Melbourne! Another standout dish is the Deep Fried Whole Flounder, it is absolutely superb!

Visited this place on recommendation and am glad I did! Food is amazing! Great choice of both Chinese and Vietnamese food. Place gets busy so need to book and always lots of people ordering take away. Very reasonably priced!
