This place is a great find. The menu changes constantly, so it's on a blackboard; you know that they're using fresh ingredients. There's a warm welcome, and a relaxed, friendly atmoshere. The food is the best of caribbean cooking; it all looks appealing but I can only vouch for the seafood; the swordfish steak and the octopus fricassée were each exceptional, pefectly cooked and presented with flair. The food is full of flavour; not overly spicy, but they do offer whole chillis separately, so you can make it as hot as you like! The prices are very reasonable, for this quality of food and service. Saint James is a small and simple restaurant in Garces specializing in Creole food. The presentation of the various dishes was excellent. The smell of the Creole cuisine is breathtaking. Patrick is a charming and pleasant host and patiently explained to us the exotic fruit and ingredients used in their kitchen. Be careful with the rum loaded punch !
Chose starter and main and the food was delicious with huge portions which meant we couldn’t consider any dessert. We were the only customers on the evening we were there and this surprised us as the for and service were excellent
