a narrow small dining area with customers dining close up,sets the tone for an evening at Saint Peter.having limited seating,expect to wait(thirty minutes or so) for your table,if your reservation is for the nine pm slot.the earlier crowd are in no hurry to leave.the service is personal and friendly.there is a lengthy delay between courses.we chose John Dory,swordfish,green salad,broccolini,new potatoes,ox heart tomatoes and yamba sardines.for dessert we shared lemon tart.we drank a crisp Picardy Chardonnay and the usual waters,teas and soft drinks.the food is very good.our group are experienced fish aficionados,so are well placed to judge a perfectly prepared John Dory or swordfish.which th...

Another new edition to Oxford St Paddington.It's not just a fish & chip cafe - it's trying to position itself in the elite restaurant league but somehow doesn't quite get there.The service was delivered with a condescending attitude that didn't match the informal image the restaurant was attempting to portray.The food was varied - the desserts were excellent - the main courses disappointing.The fish & chips was very dry - not at all what would be expected of a place like this. It's pricey - for what you get (with a heavy touch of attitude).I've heard others who really enjoyed it - however we didn't and are unlikely to return.

Saint Peter is a reputable seafood restaurant in Paddington. The restaurant has a very deep but narrow of roughly 3 metres storefront which creates a very intimate space; only accommodating 34 people. They serve brunch on weekends, and we went there on a Saturday. As the head chef, Josh Niland, changes the menu on a regular basis, we had the shrimp toast, charcoal grilled flounder, and passion fruit tart that day. The food is on the pricey range, but the thoughtfulness and execution behind each dish is totally worth every penny. Not only are they specialized in seafood dishes, they also make great desserts. Small restaurant and really popular so booking is recommended. Josh is owner and chef and does a fantastic job of local seafood. Try the prawns (shrimp for Americans) large ones in a stunning sauce with nuts, or small size fried crisp. The calamari in squid ink is just delicious and for something a little different have a peach and tomatoe salad to accompany your fish selection.

St Peter 's chef made incredibly 'airy ' gluten and egg-free crackers to meet my dietary requirements so I could have the cheese platter, which I appreciated. The food is amazing, unusual and high quality. We had a 6 pm booking and therefore should have been out by 8 pm. We were still finishing our meal at 8.30. I think the 2 hours is too little time for a meal like this.

I’ll put it out there... you’d be mad to miss out on this one. 17 day aged hapuka was sublime, the sea urchin crumpet Was divine and the service was seamless as a wine glass. It was tops. Get there
