You try and be nice, give a local another chance (again) but then they let you down again!Thinking we were being clever leaving an event late in Nth Adelaide we phoned ahead to Saints Pizza at Henley Beach for a pizza. 15 mins we were told. Arriving 20 mins later I was told it would be a few more minutes would you like to pay now. 15 mins more my wife (who was waiting in the car) comes in asking why they called her to ask details about the pizza - when I was waiting in the shop for the pizza!!!Forget a few minutes more!!! They had only started making it when I arrived- AND STILL GOT THE ORDER WRONG!!!!NEVER AGAIN - AND NEVER PAY BEFORE RECEIVING THE PIZZA!
We ordered delivery on a Sunday (Easter weekend). They text to say the delivery would be expected at 7pm (an hour wait) but at 7.20pm there was still no pizza so I called them to see how much longer the wait would be. They answered the phone 'please hold', then after I asked about my order they said 'its on the way' and hung up. Pretty rude all round and non apologetic. The cardboard box was soggy on the bottom when it arrived and the pizza was only just warm. It was your typical corner shop pizza, wasn't bad but not outstanding. We paid $37 for a vegetarian family and a garlic bread (delivered), which I think was a bit steep.
Now this was a tasty Pizza. Finally I could taste the product and there was no oily after taste. Staff were friendly and helpful. For a great tasting pizza, I highly recommend this venue. From Traditional to Gourmet to Pasta to Mains and Burgers and Desserts it has the lot. Seating inside and out is great.
Alright food, terrible customer service not to mention the delightful aroma of cigarettes from the front door. Walked in to collect takeaway and staff were miserable, unwelcoming and looked like they had just come from a funeral. Food was nice, but maybe staff need more training in customer service.
