I ordered DoorDash, called the restaurant to confirm my order (to avoid any issues), then got the wrong roll delivered. when I called to ask if i could drive there myself and get a new one (after already paying for delivery) the lady on the phone was very rude. when I picked up my new roll she gave me an issue because I didn't bring the other roll with me. it was a single shrimp tempura roll. ive had issues in the past with the staff/wrong orders. my neighboorhood friends share similar experiences. Overall, I give this place 5 stars! My family and I have been coming here for as long as I can remember—26 years! They offer amazing sushi and hibachi options. Our favorites include the tricolor sushi, shrimp tempura appetizer, and the Montauk/Naruto rolls. We also enjoy the hibachi, salads, rice—everything! We order from here at least once a week! Such a good experience- waiter was friendly, ambiance was very classy, and the food was so amazing- top quality sushi (the green dragon roll was especially incredible) and the sashimi was also very fresh and generous in portions. The pork katsu and sauces that came with was also delicious and crispy. Totally worth the money and left feeling full and happy.

This place has very excellent quality sushi. The service and decor is wonderful. Their kumimoto oysters are perfect in the winter season. The service was impeccable, our server names Happy , was a complete delight. I haven 't come back here since they changed management many years ago. This time back I was not disappointed. Thanks.
I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between casual and elegant. I ordered the spicy tuna Naruto roll (which wasn’t on the menu) and the Roslyn roll, both of which were exceptionally fresh and delicious.
The sushi and sashimi at this restaurant are truly incredible, and the appetizers are just as fantastic. While we didn't sample any of the main courses, I have no doubt they are equally exceptional.
This restaurant is amazing; the food is truly delicious. I've been a loyal customer for three years now. The service is excellent, and I would give it a perfect 5 out of 5.

Honestly, this is the best sushi spot for consistently fresh and delicious sushi. The service is always excellent as well. Sakaya never disappoints!
My favorite sushi place in Roslyn Heights. It's some of the freshest sushi I've ever tasted!
