If you're a local then you've definitely had one event at Sakura. When I was younger, it was the spot for families to have parties and events with friends. It is still popular among Weston/Westport families as I hear many people have either gone with their family or for a party/event. the best sakura and hibachi spot in connecticut.. maybe ever.. i’ve since moved and nobody does it like them.. their noodles are one of one i swear!! every other sakura in the state has thick noodles. my family has come here for over 10 years at this point, we’ve seen it cycle through to a new owner and still for every special occasion, when we are for some reason back in CT, we have to stop here. hope this place never ever changes, the food is perfect, the location has been the same, everything about it is a piece of home, you will LOVE it! i sometimes dream about it, i consider taking a flight just to have this meal!! chefs are almost always funny and super interactive, they will laugh wit...
I’d heard good things about this place but have to say my first time there tonight left me very underwhelmed. Had an 8:30pm booking but we were seated at 9:15. The waiting area was jammed with people. What I saw of chef’s at other tables seemed fairly entertaining, but our chef was either tired, inexperienced or just not much for making an effort. I think he just wanted to get outta there. Not impressed at all. The food was reasonably good, but nothing special. The service was good, but again, nothing special, especially where considering the wait. Don’t think I’ll bother to come again unfortunately.
Horrible. What asian rest with any class, knowledge or respect for the asian flair serves ANGEL HAIR PASTA IN A BIG FAT GIGANTIC PILE OF CUT UP SPAGHETTI with the Hibachi sauce, instead of using ramen noodles? But that wasnt the 1st mistake, which was i asked for a vodka martini straight up with grey goose olives. I got a Dirty Martini... there was a 3rd screwup, but i dont remember what it was. We enjoy sitting in the bar area or at the bar. Service by Sugam, Walter and Abdul is always great. Unfortunately sometimes the food is not always consistent. We were a little disappointed the last time we did take out, my tatsuta age was burnt, but the hibachi noodles were great. Love the hibachi mustard sauce. Please don't ever change the hibachi mustard sauce recipe! Service: Dine in
I am a big fan of hibachi. I always try new places but no where compares to Sakura. The food, the drinks, and the customer service. I’ve been coming here since highschool and it hasn’t changed a bit. eating is great, but the personal is amazing. our Hibachi cooked a wonderful dinner and the whole table was delighted. herr helmi the waiter was absolutely professional and charming. great recommendation for a good meal and a fun evening. thank you.
