We wrote a glowing 5 star review for Sakura a few years back when they were in their old building. This past visit when we were once again in town and looking so forward to it we learned that they had moved to a huge new building/location. We were very disappointed to say the least that it seemed like they are more interested in volume now vs quality. The area they sat us after making a reservation several days prior felt like we were sat in a cafeteria and there was a robot delivering food to some tables. Have been here many times; food and service have always been 5 star consistently. We are out of towners but visit St. George a few times a yr, and have always had a great time here! Always habachi dinners, loved the onion soup even as a non mushroom fan. Portion is large and to me can be shareable if you are petite and eat like a bird.its always super busy and parking sometimes is a bit difficult to find but worth a visit. Decor is amazing and inviting. Becuase of the flames, the temp is kept much cooler than most restaurants, a sweater might be needed for a little bit of time. Highly recommended and one of our favorite Habachi restaurant.
We stopped here around 2pm on a Saturday. I was not impressed and was expecting more for the price we paid. Our sushi was subpar at best. We ordered a fisher, a yum-yum and the riverside. The fish quality was mediocre and our sushi rolls had way too much cream cheese and were not proportioned well. At least the atmosphere and service were nice. We don’t know why the food quality has decreased so significantly. When the restaurant first opened the quality was MUCH BETTER!
Great service from the start! Waited like maybe 30 min tops, but so worth the wait and money well spent. Our Waitress V was attentive to our needs, great talking stories with her and overall just love her customer service! Recommend to everyone!

We recently moved to St. George, and this was our first time eating at Sakura. Wow!! We had the best service, Parker and a trainee, treated us great. The food was excellent and we loved the atmosphere.
Best sushi in town. Great staff and fun experience when you do the hibachi grill. One of my favorite places to celebrate a fun occasion with friends and family.
Best Sushi in St George. The Hibachi is also very good...though I wish the portions were a little bigger for the price.
5 Stars! Great food , amazing stuff , clean. The robot server is lots of fun , worth to see. Highly recommended!

The sushi rolls and teppanyaki are amazing, get there right at opening to avoid long waits
