Sal - Reserva de mesa

So called ‘Couvert’ consists of Bread, different pates, cheese, butter, carrots quite a lot actually. Everything is itemised at the top of the menu and it totals around 14EUR, which must be a record. There is a note on the menu stating you won’t be charged if you don’t request it and/or don’t eat it, although this wasn’t the case. Service painfully slow with little grace. Food ‘ok’, if a bit overpriced. Watch the bill rejecting the ‘Couvert’ and associated items at the time it is gracefully plonked on the table still results in everything appearing on the bill. Argument in getting it removed. Not a great business model would be better focusing on quality, value and service.

Our first day of our break and had a lovely walk after the boat ride from Tavira – there was only one couple there when we arrived sitting inside. We sat under cover overlooking the dunes. We had a really lovely meal – huge bowl of clams which were delicious in a lovely sauce and some special pork which was the best we tasted on our trip. We sat and watched the clouds rolling around and it was just a lovely place to be – we were able to start relaxing and it set the bar high for food for the trip. To be that good out of season on a cold, wet day well done and thank you!

It was the worst experience I had for lunch on the island. The french fries were not acceptable as they were not crispy at all. The cheese of the Cheeseburger as well as the bun were cold and soggy. We had small animals in the lettuce which has apparently not been properly cleaned. On top: We waited 1.5 hours for your lunch. I am sorry but I can’t recommend this place at all. Staff was friendly but seemed to be totally overwhelmed as all tables around us complaint about food and waiting times.

In our opinion, the very best food on Ilha da Tavira. A family run business who care about their customers and also their food. Delicious Cataplana, fresh tuna nd for the meat lovers an amazing black pork dish. Beautiful setting with ocean views and they even offer water transport to and from the Island back to Tavira. What a lovely spot! We had a delicious lunch here today, made even more enjoyable by the lovely friendly staff. This is a family run business and they take such pride in what they do. We will definitely return and will recommend to anyone travelling to Tavira.

sehr guter Thunfisch Steak gegessen. als kleiner Vorspeise ein wenig Brot und Oliven. Ich habe ein Bier getrunken. Ich war sehr gut bedient.
