Sal's Pizza Chelmsford, Ma

Pizza is a hit or miss, depending on the day, but I come across others because they have the best in-house dressing I've ever had. Put in my order as usual, and instead of house dressing there was a Ken?s package of golden Italian dressing. The phone ordered and the person didn't say anything. Not sure what else they thought I meant dressing with your house.? Notes the packages when I went out and asked the opponent. She reacted to her not doing the dressing anymore. That was very disappointing in itself, but I would not have ordered a salad if the person said it when I ordered it. Some of the salad was brown and the cucumber went bad. I made the mistake of ordering a stuffed garlic knot. yes the order is only for one garlic knot). No description but priced at $1.99 I figured it must be pretty spectacular. Well, you know what people say about making assumptions...I just paid $1.99 for burnt bread dough with a lump of cheese. I have no desire to eat this. I don?t usually have thin crust from Sal?s and now I won?t order that crust again either. The crust was overly crisp. I am so disappointed and lost my appetite. Food was delivered by door dash. It arrived cold.

I had a margarita pizza. The pie had a thin NY style crust, a simple sweet plum tomato sauce and generous globs of creamy mozzarella. Simple, basic goodness. strongly recommene.Great pie!

Good pizza, good service, decent joint. It wasn't busy at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon, and I didn't mind that at all. 4 stars reflects what you would expect at a pizza shop.
