Yesterday, my parents drove up from Houston to visit, and when we were discussing lunch options, Saltgrass came up since they are Landry's cardholders. I mentioned that I had never been there before, so we decided to give it a try.
Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the restaurant's decor and atmosphere, which I thought was quite appealing. However, my initial impression was somewhat tarnished when I noticed that one of my forks was dirty, with what appeared to be baked-on cheese and gravy. I politely asked our waitress for a replacement, and she promptly provided one without any fuss.
Unfortunately, my experience soured further when the chop steak I ordered without grilled onion...
We went to this location to celebrate my Father's 66th birthday. We did reserve a room for our family as it is quite big. We had a total of close to 20 people with us. We were only given 1 waitress (this review is definitely NOT about her. She gave great customer service and did the best she could with what she was given). We got there around 7pm it took over an hour for our food orders to be placed, and it took over 20 mins per drink that we ordered. The food was good, but the portion size for the price is not even measurable if you ask me. First off the service was fantastic. The tea is cold, sweet, and refreshing. The place was crowded but it didn't feel like it. Great atmosphere for a night out. The bar has something for everyone of drinking age. As far as the food goes, I had the baby back ribs and grilled shrimp. The ribs were a little charred which added a delicious smoky aroma to them. The shrimp were so flavorful and well cooked and the baked potato with them was baked all the way through without it being tough or mushy. The price wasn't too bad either. Stop by if you're alone or with a group. You won't regret it.
The food was fantastic! I ordered the Blue Steak, which was perfectly cooked to a medium rare as a sirloin, accompanied by crawfish and shrimp. The potato soup was my favorite item on the menu. If I had one suggestion, it would be to omit the crawfish and tomato from the dish. My only other recommendation would be to ensure that the edges of the plates are clean before serving, as it would enhance the presentation—there were a few food splatters around the plates. Nevertheless, the service was excellent, and the overall flavor of the food was superb.

Amazing service. The server was attentive and polite. The drinks weren't as good as we had hoped as they were slightly different to our normal drinks we order at restaurants. The steaks were perfect!! The prices weren't as bad as people made them out to be as we spend around the same as we usually do for date night. The fried pickles and peppers were about as expected for what they were. The peppers had some kick which was good. Potato soup was good. The Caesar salad was as expected for a salad. Everything came out in a timely manner.
Overall this was a great choice for lunch today. Started off with their tortilla soup(sorry forgot to take a pic) which had a little kick but the flavor was on point. Had the 16oz medium ribeye and couldn’t have been cooked better with a side of loaded mashed potatoes. Service was definitely on their A game. I definitely enjoyed stopping by this place and will be back again.
I had an excellent lunch at this restaurant today. I started with their tortilla soup, which had a delightful spicy kick and rich flavor. The 16oz medium ribeye I ordered was cooked to perfection and came with loaded mashed potatoes. The service was outstanding. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely come back.
The food was outstanding, and the company was wonderful. The shrimp stuffed poppers were incredible—spicy yet irresistible. Service was top-notch, and the steak was perfectly juicy. We truly enjoyed the entire experience. Thanks for everything; we had an amazing time and will definitely be back.

For our appetizers, we ordered the Range Rattlers, which were a bit spicy but absolutely delicious. Definitely give them a try! As for the steak, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly grilled, juicy, and tender—completely worth every penny!
Great place to eat for a special occasion. If you like steak it is cooked to perfection everytime I come here. The waitress was extra nice to my family and the environment was relaxing.
