The food, simply put, was amazing. The vegetarian mushroom burger and Margherita pizza were absolute standouts, bursting with flavour and expertly prepared to perfection. It's clear that the chefs at Salts Diner are passionate about their craft and dedicated to delivering top notch culinary creations. In addition to the mouthwatering food, the staff at Salts Diner were friendly, professional, and attentive, they went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our meal was perfect. The restaurant's ambiance created a welcoming setting that's perfect for casual lunches. Whether you're dining with family, friends, or a special someone, Salts Diner offers the perfect backdrop for a great di...

I went to this restaurant for coffee and a light meal. The atmosphere was great, and I had high expectations but unfortunately, they were not met. The options for us to choose from were crumpets, scones, and toasted tea cakes. I was surprised to find out that the scones and tea cakes were priced at £4.80, while the crumpets were £4. When I asked about the crumpets, I was informed by the server (who was very nice) that they were actually Warburtons brand. I decided to go for the toasted tea cakes, which turned out to be a mistake. They were flat, chewy, and tasted like something you would find at a cheap supermarket. They were served with pre-packaged butter and a jar of jam. The quality of t...

Having been many times before I was looking forward to my lunch at Salts Diner, the restaurant was busy and I expected to wait. Eventually getting to our table we waited for our waiter who arrived with the menu, never mentioned the specials.. We ordered drinks, one soft drink.. no ice?? Even though we could see I’ve in others, water was warm, white wine was ok but also warm, we were asked our food order and if we wanted sauce, obviously with burgers and chips we said yes, these arrived in sachets as you get in fast food/fish shops? Not in a dish a previous visits, we were taken aback at this point of the visit. The food eventually arrived and was good, plates much smaller but all the same go...

The restaurant has a beautiful setting and the service is friendly and efficient. The food is delicious. However, there was a serious issue with the tea. I am quite particular about my tea and was pleased when it arrived in a teapot. But I was disappointed to see that the tea bag was still in its packet and not in the hot water. This is not how I expect tea to be served in such a lovely establishment. In France, tea is served in a similar manner, but I believe it is better when the boiling water is poured directly onto the tea bag. Reserva una mesa ahora

Quite a queue here for Sunday lunchtime. We joined it as thought it must be good we were not disappointed! Both had Burgers Chips meat veggie version both tasty with nicely cooked chips desserts to follow and coffees were also good. This place is so busy deservedly so. The atmosphere is really good. The staff are friendly from what we saw whilst we were there they work their socks off! Definately a place to which we would return if ever back in the area.

This is a fabulous, characterful and busy environment. We look forward, always, to our visits. Our Full English breakfasts today were generally good, but not as warm as they needed to be. There is an art to getting fried eggs from pan to plate to the diner... fast, which left some room for improvement today. The fact it was busy is no excuse in my opinion, not at any price. Hopefully, it will be better next time.

I often visit Salts Mill because I love the building. However, I find The Diner to be overrated as the food is just average. The pizza is not great and is a bit pricey for what you get. A cup of tea now costs £3.50 and a scone with jam costs £4.80. While I do enjoy the atmosphere of the cafe, I am no longer willing to pay these prices for mediocre food and slow service.

Very very busy. Waited 45 mins for a table. Staff running round trying to keep up with demand. Staff attentive but dissapointing food. Chicken ceaser salad wasn't to my taste with olives and anchovies which I missread the menu. Environment loud. Nit sure if I would visit again wasn't for me. Reserva una mesa ahora

Rip off. Charging 80p additional for oat milk is terrible. You should be encouraging more sustainable options. Tea cakes are £4.80. nice surroundings but way too expensive.
