Salty's Grill & Cafe

Wife ordered at 5.40pm while I was on the train home as our normal fish & chips shop had a long waiting time. She was told our order would be ready at 6.20pm. I arrived at 6.15pm to pay for it and then waited until 6.45pm when I questioned how long my order would be and they couldn't find it. I saw the waitress take it out of her apron and put it up in the order waiting area. I am sure she had given my order to another couple about 20mins earlier and the staff tried to tell me it was on another order area but was in the deep fryer cooking and finally received it at 7pm some 1hr 20mins after it was ordered. I am prepared to make allowances for being a busy night (Good Friday) on top of normal...

We went to this restaurant for dinner tonight and were greeted by a friendly Aussie family. The food took about 30 minutes to arrive, which was longer than expected, but the restaurant was quite busy. We ordered the Seafood for 3 which included prawn cutlets, calamari, seafood sticks, cod, and chips, all for a good value at $29.90. The chips were satisfactory, though there weren't many, but the abundance of delicious seafood made up for it. The aioli that came with the meal was a nice touch. Overall, we were pleased with our dinner and with a few small improvements, we would definitely consider coming back again.

Lovely little cafe with pleasant seating located outside under large umbrellas on a small deck. Large selection of either fish & chip type items as well as various burgers. We had battered fish and chips which didn't dissapoint. Batter was lovely and crisp and definately not fatty. A piece of lemon also provided which is a nice touch. As we were eating in, we were served our meals on a crockery plate and proper cultery. Good value combo meals offered. Would recommend.

Salty's is a real little gem. My friend suggested we come here and I soon understood why. Great value at $14 for an amazing veggie burger, chips and drink. Service was quick. Plenty of room outside to sit and eat. The chips were golden and crunchy. Best of all though was the veggie patty (Vegetable Delight Burger) which is one of the best I've had on a burger in a while (black bean and wild rice). Reserva una mesa ahora

Travelling to Mt Glorious and spotted Salty's. Felt like fish and chips and pulled in. Polite, professional service and mutt allowed to sit in outside area. Fish, calamari, chips and crumbed prawns prepared and cooked as we waited with a really good coffee. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Don't drive past this place!

The fish and chips at this restaurant are incredibly delicious. We are grateful for the tasty meal and convenient delivery service. The food is of excellent quality and very fresh. We are very happy with our dining experience.

Decent chips, and fresh fish with a good variety to choose from. Wait time was a touch frustrating due to being told "20 Minutes" and it was closer to 40, but I am happy to put that down to a busy night.

I could tell you to simply order the Flaoumi Wrap (haloumi, salad and falafel) and be done with this review.
