I have not tried the food at this restaurant, so I cannot comment on it. However, I must say that the staff and atmosphere were terrible. I work for a company that provides centerpieces for events, and during my visit, my African American coworker and I were not treated with respect. We were pushed around while trying to collect our tools and boxes, and I even had crumbs and dust thrown on my head. When I tried to address the situation with a staff member, he ignored me and walked away. This kind of behavior is not acceptable in any business, and I have never experienced it at any other venue where I have worked. Absolutely disgusting.
Last night, my wife, my son, his wife, and their child went to the restaurant. The service was not good – when I ordered a bottle of wine, the server brought the wrong one and initially told me they were out of that wine. However, they later found the last bottle. Another server then offered me another bottle, contradicting the previous server. After we left, my wife and I both felt a bit sick, and my son mentioned he wasn't feeling well either. Given the high cost of the meal ($445.00 plus a 20% tip), I suspect it was the food that made us ill. I usually don't like to complain, but I wanted to share this experience.
Underwhelming Outdated atmosphere . Came through back parking lot entrance , smell of smoke stuffy . Cold bread and butter. Very Small Caesar salad , 2 croutons???. Didn’t offer fresh Parmesan cheese . Had to request for the cheese the powdered grated type for vegetables at main course . Meals were good , potato croquette very good . We got ice teas , the waiter asked if we’d like another each . Not free refills beware . Paid for 4 ice teas in small wine glasses . If we got 3 each we would have said something! Husband said not going back . Would rather drive further to Patricia’s in Holmdel is Excellent
Have been coming here for 15 years.An amazing family oriented restaurant that caters to your every appetite. Food is delicious, always fresh and traditional. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and attentive.Would highly recommend. Thank you so much Steve Becco!

I had a special lunch in memory of my recently deceased mother. The table had a perfect view and the service was outstanding. The place is lovely and is suitable for any occasion. I am looking forward to returning. Thank you, Sam Vera!
First time after driving by Sam Vera for years. I was VERY happy with everything about the restaurant. Nice and varied menu, the staff was wonderful, and the food was excellent. Will definitely be going back again.
A party of 6,owner greeted us ,excellent wait staff, food presentation and quality was outstanding, not a bad appetizer or meal!!will be back on several occasions !! From the Coppola family ?
Went there for an Engagement party, all the food and specialty drinks were excellent......need to revisit for dinner again....!

A very outdated and racist way of thinking in this establishment. It’s just awful to see this still taking place in 2024.
It's ok. Average Italian food in a nice building..it won't blow you away but it's good.
