The decor was very unwelcoming. I used to visit this place often when it was called Cooney. My sister had just woken up from a nap, and we thought we’d stop by for a drink. I was there with my wife and some friends. Shortly after we arrived, the owner approached my wife and informed her that he could not serve two people in our group. He didn’t provide any explanation or address me directly. When I asked him for clarification, he simply repeated that he couldn’t serve them. I was taken aback and puzzled by his statement until one of the two women asked if it was because she was Black. She doesn't drink and is in her 40s. One downside is the absence of purse hooks or loading points under the bar. Amazing transformation from the previous environment....my kudos to Sammy for steering the ship in the proper direction.Also amazing staff Sharon, Cheryl. Joann, Carol, Jenn, Alex, Tom....in my experience, ALL make a tremendous first impression for any newcomers, and have become good friends to all who have had the pleasure to get to know them....Keep up the good work Sammy and team....You are a positive Old Bridge destination for locals, and others who wish to enjoy a special welcoming destination...,?
Sammy D's is an amazing spot to enjoy a fantastic drink in a wonderful atmosphere. The music is great, and the service is consistently excellent and always delivered with a smile. Sammy D’s is the perfect hometown bar! The owner Sammy is friendly and professional, the staff Carol, Cheryl and Sharon are fantastic to chat with and make great drinks, the place is clean, the atmosphere is welcoming and music is always playing! If you are in Old Bridge or a nearby town, you should totally check it out!

Sammy Do’s just finished a great new renovation and with stocked bar and many tv’s with current sports, this is a great bar to get away from the house and enjoy some great drinks!!
