Sampe's Pizza - Reserva de mesa

Tried this place as our local was closed. Tried a couple of 'gourmet ' pizzas and they were average at best. Peri chicken was soggy and the chicken was terrible- frozen deli cube type that is far from the gourmet 'marinated chicken ' listed on the menu that you 'd be expecting when paying for premium pizzas. Lamb was ok, but again, nothing gourmet or interesting about it. The bases tasted like the pre cooked ones you get from Coles. Nothing homemade or authentic about them. Service was ****- girl hung up on me halfway through my order while I was in the middle of asking a question and didn 't take my details. I've pretty much always had good pizza here. There was only one time when it wasn't quite up to scratch when they accidentally put thick bases on but even then, it was still tasty, with just a bit more crust. The pizzas are ready when they say they will be and so are hot and fresh. The flavours are good and they don't have that much trouble with an altered order. There's always enough staff on so that you aren't waiting for service while they attend to other things. Generally this is a good pizza place that if you are in the area, I recommend and given that there are at least two other pizza places, that's high praise.

This used to be my favourite pizza place..... I recently went there and ordered the 'peri peri ' chicken which was more expensive than the others. So disappointed to realise that there was hardly any sauce, it was not spicy at all and the chicken was like packaged cubs. so tell me, what am I paying more for? There are other pizza shops around the corner that do a great job for less money. I love the deep pan crust they make, but the toppings have reduced to pretty poor quality. Have been ordering from this pizza place for a long time now and honestly the flavour could not be better. The lamb pizza is excellent and the chicken and bacon is also amazing. Way better than other pizza shops around and better value than pizza hut and dominos. An absolute must have for regular pizza nights! The pizza's are delicious and the ingredients taste very fresh. The staff are very friendly and service is pretty quick even on nights when it gets very busy. Definitely the best pizza's in Mooroolbark!

Such delicious pizza! Favourite would have to be the Italian meatball and the garlic prawn! Really tasty bases and you can tell the ingredients for the toppings are good quality.

no bad pizza. but the question is more whether the massive prices are justified, and I am sorry to say that the quality falls a fair whack short, which they end up chasing.
