The very young staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough but the older guy we had serving us was awful. Made us feel very uncomfortable and that we were an inconvenience. Didn't show us to our table just pointed across the room, after 15 minutes of no service in an empty restaurant, I had to go to the the bar to interrupt their chatting and ask if we had to order drinks at the bar. He got our order wrong 3 times across the food and drinks and overcharged us for doubles we specifically didn't order. The food is bog standard pub grub with a massive price tag for the quality.
We were walk-ins but they found a table for us, in the corner at the back of the dining area. Unfortunately, we were in company with 3 of the largest fattest flies you could imagine, sitting and buzzing right above us! We thought about leaving but decided we were too hungry and had a bit of a journey home. Showed a member of the waiting staff who looked a bit shocked, and moved us to another table. Foid was ok, quite tasty but all the time I was thinking about those flies and swarms of them inhabitting the kitchen and stores. Sadly we are unlikely to return.
A lovely place to eat,atmosphere pleasant, staff attentive without bring at all pushy and the food was gorgeous. Highly recommend the edon mess dessert,so nice I had two!!
Had the most amazing meal, service was impeccable. Can’t wait to return! Lovely restaurant in the heart of Truro. X

I called my order in, when I got there I was told that someone sold the pizza I ordered by mistake.
Staff always attentive and friendly. Made the visit a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.
A wonderful choice on the menu. All of the food was delicious. Will definitely return!
Pork belly was very crunchy and overcooked so worried I would break a tooth on it.
