If you're craving Cajun cuisine in Oklahoma, there's a fantastic spot where you can indulge in perfectly cooked catfish. I've visited Louisiana many times and have sampled gumbo from various places, but the gumbo here at Backwoods was just as delicious. The staff was very friendly, the service was quick, and the prices were budget-friendly. I'll definitely be returning every opportunity I have. Overall rating for the food: 5/5.
Do not eat here! There are maggots in the beans and rice, they smoke while cooking food for the public, roaches crawling all over the ice in the back. You are not supporting a small business in Ardmore, you are supporting the owners home country. Health department has already made several trips to this place. The only good thing about the whole place are the servers. Period.
Restaurant was not clean there was urine in the bathroom floor and it looked like it had not been cleaned in a month. The restaurant was understaffed with 1 waitress that also answered the phone and worked the register. (She looked exhausted) The food was just ok and the prices were high for what we got. Will not go back wish I would have taken photos to add.

I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner and I was highly impressed with the quality of food, service, and atmosphere. The price per person was very reasonable, ranging from $10 to $20. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5. I highly recommend trying the Fried Shrimp, Catfish, and Beans and Rice.
