San Leo Düsseldorf

We managed to get a table for on a walk in for this restaurant. It’s small and quite bare so not much by way of atmosphere. I’ve used this place many times when visiting Dusseldorf and it’s really good for a low key decent...meal. Can I just get one thing straight. This is not an authentic Italian restaurant. All the people reviewing this as such you will notice are not Italian. The menu is written in German with some Italian names thrown in which have no translation in German. None of the waters are Italian although the Rumanian guy does speak Italian and prefers that to English. Luckily I speak Italian so we, all British, actually had half a chance with the menu. It is a small restaurant with just a few tables. Since you enter you realise the food is the best, especially thanks to the glass fridge where you can see all the high quality ingredients, yummy! The handwritten menu list (only in German, lucky me...the waiter helped me with a few translations) is plenty of different alternatives: meat, fish, of course pasta... I opted for a salmon tartare and a beef carpaccio. Both were excellent! And I saw some other dishes served to other tables and all of them looked great. The price was not cheap but completely reasonable for that quality.

I came here with my family and none of us speak very good German. While the menu is in German and handwritten, we were able to translate it with the help of our waiter to order two delicious entrees, three main meals and a dessert...to share. All of the meals were devine and authentic Italian! The atmosphere of the restaurant was also perfect with a constant hum of conversation and no loud music. It is a small restaurant with shared tables but this simply added to the atmosphere. It is well loved by locals and we would come back again if we were staying longer.

-Food was ok out of (had antipasti, pasta, and meat). All rated similar Service was horrible out of point only because we were welcomed to our table. The antipasti showed up at the same time as the pasta, the...waiters were unpolite during service. With the price as well as service we were very unhappy here. El lugar es pequeño y tiene una decoración bastante básica. Lo encontramos a través de Tripadvisor. Cuando llegamos, tuvimos que esperar en el lugar ya que el restaurante estaba lleno de gente. La comida era realmente buena. Éramos personas y todos los platos que pedimos eran realmente sabrosos ...

Es un pequeño restaurante con pocas mesas. Desde que entras te das cuenta de que la comida es la mejor, sobre todo gracias a la heladera de cristal donde puedes ver todos los ingredientes de alta calidad, ¡delicioso! La lista del menú escrita a mano solo está en alemán, por suerte.

Vine aquí con mi familia y ninguno de nosotros habla muy bien el alemán. Si bien el menú está en alemán y escrito a mano, pudimos traducirlo con la ayuda de nuestro camarero para pedir dos deliciosos platos principales, tres platos principales y un postre.

Nos las arreglamos para conseguir una mesa para un paseo en este restaurante. Es pequeño y bastante desnudo, así que no hay mucho ambiente. He usado este lugar muchas veces cuando visité Dusseldorf y es realmente bueno para un discreto decente ... Reserva una mesa ahora

Cenamos en su terraza ... El camarero es muy amable. Vitello Tonnato es realmente bueno y sabroso. La pasta estaba al dente y muy buena. Lo único extraño de la cita es que no puedes pagar con tu tarjeta de crédito y que no puedes.

I asked for a pappardelle with champions and I was quite disappointed. Boring flavour and far from Italian touch.
