Had lunch for the first time in this place with a group of friends. Ordered a number of traditional dishes with the lamb skewers by a friend within the group who frequents the place.Really enjoyed the lamb skewers which are nicely done and aromatic. The traditional dishes of cold noodle and salads are nice too as part of our order. The chicken and rice dishes are good too.We avoided the dish being 'spiced' up as can be too hot for some of the people in the group.Nice atmosphere within the restaurant with good spacing between all tables. Caters for both small and big groups with family.Reasonably clean and staffs are friendly and efficient. For example, topping up teapots without asking and a...

it is not the regular Chinese restaurants you are accustomed to. Specialising in Northern Chinese cuisine, the food is just delicious. They have one of the best pumpkin dumplings I have ever had in my life. I was born eating dumplings. So for me to say this is a big call. The pumpkin dumplings are my all time favourite, a little bit of spice, juicy and massive. A plate is enough for two people (seriously). They make it fresh hence it usually takes a while to come out, but its worth the wait. They make their noodles in-house which is equally delicious and can be ordered with meat or vegetables or both. For carnivores, their marinated lamb in skewers seems to be famous. All serves are decent size a...

I happened to be in the Dandenong area and decided to revisit a Xinjiang/Mongolian restaurant that my cousin had taken me to 10 years ago. After some quick research on Google, I chose to try this restaurant. The staff greeted us warmly and recommended some popular dishes. I particularly enjoyed the stir-fried lamb offal, despite initially being put off by the description of the ingredients. I found myself hooked on the kidney and lamb tripe for their soft and chewy texture. The Xinjiang stir-fried noodle was tasty but not particularly outstanding. It was tender and chewier compared to Shanghai noodles. One dish that is a must-try is the lamb skewer.

We attended and sought to redeem a 30% off voucher. They refused to accept it saying that was the old owner's offer. We called up hours later saying we had the voucher and they said yes that's fine please book.Their original amount was higher too then what the menu said. Not only do they scam you but the place is scummy - human matter up the bathroom wall and old food stuck to new cutlery. Food was poor and chicken wasn't cooked and still bleeding in the middle of the meat.Never, ever go there unless you are taking your worst enemy to dinner and they are paying! ! This place known well for its lamb skewer, $2 each, and I could easily at 3 pcs. It tastes a bit similar with Mongolian style, but taste much better. It came in descent portion, not too big but enough (per skewer). We also try the pork wrap, (normally called mu shu pork in US), it tasted great, enough for 2 people per portion. However the location is not really close to the cbd district, and will take ages to travel with public transport. But, It is worth to try if you are in the area.

Very friendly staff, albeit we went last week at 11.30 and it was quiet. People started coming in as we left. If you like Asian food without the terrible western touch that spoils traditional Asian food such as honey chicken, then this is the place to go. Beautiful dumplings, spicy beef in chilli soup, chicken fried with dried chilli, fresh vegetables in oyster sauce. Food was lovely, place was clean, prices are very good value. Definitely returning.

My partner and I went to this restaurant going on reviews on here. We walked in and the place was filthy. But as we thought it was good food and there were many Asians eating in an Asian restaurant which spoke volumes we decided to stay. Over 20 min later no one had even approached us for drinks. A group of Asian people had just arrived and served immediately. It's very sad that we were made to feel like outcasts in our own country... We left

Situated next to Dandenong Plaza, San Yuan is a family-owned restaurant that specializes in Xinjiang Northern Chinese cuisine. Similar to many Asian restaurants in Melbourne, the restaurant is bustling and crowded whenever it is open. San Yuan has a loyal customer base and is known for its focus on quality food and excellent customer service. Reserva una mesa ahora

Tasty and affordable Xinjiang cuisine. I have always really liked this restaurant because the food is full of flavour and familiar to my mum's cooking. The restaurant itself may look a little scrappy, but I would absolutely recommend the food for the taste, affordable price, and great portion sizes.
