Sanctuary By Sirromet

Good place to stay, but very pricey. I booked this accommodation months ago for a wedding, but the family had some of their plans changed. It turned out, if I wanted to cancel my booking one week out, they wanted a $195 cancellation fee. The room was beautiful and clean, however the room didn't get cleaned until 3:00pm every day. The surprising thing was, Sirromet hosts weddings all the time, but didn't have a plan for an outdoor rainy day wedding. The bride walked with a heavy huge wedding dress being dragged in water puddles on the footpath down to the outside venue. The location is beautiful and it might be worth visiting for a special event or show, but the tents can be quite uncomfortable in winter, extremely hot in summer, and reminiscent of a flimsy tarp for camping. This may appeal to some, but be aware that there are no TVs either in the rooms or the restaurant. The staff at the reception seemed overwhelmed, and even though there were three of them present, they didn't really provide much assistance. Their first priority was to tell us how to check in instead of sharing information about our room or our stay. I had a lovely stay. The tasting and tour were definite highlights. It's wonderful to have a getaway spot in Brisbane. However, the food at Tuscan Cafe could use some improvement. The rooms were nicely presented, and I particularly enjoyed the spacious verandahs overlooking the bush. There are plenty of activities to enjoy at Sirromet and in the nearby area. While the food at the Tuscan Cafe was pretty average, I was impressed by the complimentary cheese platter and wine. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 4.

The location is fantastic, making it a lovely getaway. My only minor complaint is that, as a winery, they should have greeted us with a complimentary bottle upon arrival. Considering it's not the cheapest place for an overnight stay, offering something so inexpensive would have been a nice gesture of appreciation. Our stay at the sanctuary was a present from our daughter for our 50th wedding anniversary. It was a good break enjoyed our stay very much. The first time our stay at a tented accommodation. Would recommend.

We had a delightful stay! We enjoyed taking a walk around the lagoon in the afternoon, which was truly lovely. The area is surrounded by beautiful greenery, and we spotted plenty of adorable wallabies.

Absolutely lovely Estate accommodations, wedding ceremony reception. Staff, food beverages 2nd to none. Beautiful few days spent, even with so much rain failing was a glorious time shared. Thank you!

Very nice scenery, drink prices are too high. Beautiful establishment, nice wine. Meal serves are very small, as is also the menu selections.
