When I made the reservation Sandra was so upbeat and personable, I just knew I had to try this place. My neighbors, from Babcock Ranch, joined me and off we went. The restaurant decor and atmosphere were phenomenal. There is a Biergarten outside but the weather was a bit too cool for us to enjoy it. We arrived about 45 minutes earlier than expected but no problem, the hostess seated us and the fun was just beginning. I had a liter of beer, my lady friends had a beer and an iced tea. My husband and I have been looking for authentic German cuisine since our trip to Germany/Austria last year. Unfortunately, we are in an area of the country that does not have much to offer. At our recent visit to Bradenton FL, I was looking for what was in the area. I saw the appetizers firecock. We had this at Heidelberg Castle, and I didn't see it on another German restaurant menu. I was a skeptic at first until the first bite of a German restaurant in Punta Gorda. Everything we had was as if we were transported over seas. The European sampler hit my European heritage on the dot with a perfectly cooked schnitzel, bratwurst and a flavorful goulash. Very delicious German farewell! We had the white sausage, late tent, tomato mozzarella sandwich and finished with an amazing apple stem? The white sausage was juicy and full of taste. The beer cheese with the late tent was so good! And the stem... offers pastries, full of taste. We look forward to our next visit! Thank you Sandra Heather!
Wow!! The food here is incredible and super flavorful. And the service is top notch! But I have to say I wasn?t expecting the cocktails to be as delicious . I would come here even just for the drinks. Worth a visit for sure A hidden gem! Also the apple strudel is the best in town.
