As stated on their website, the tamales at this restaurant are described as "wet" because they are served hot. However, once they have cooled down, they are not as wet and hold together well when cut or removed from the husk. It is important to note that the tamales are cash only, and there is an ATM on-site for those who need to withdraw money. During my visit on November 24th, 2020, I purchased 2 dozen cheese tamales and 6 pork tamales for a total of $53.00. The restaurant offers a variety of flavors, but unfortunately, I was not able to try them all on this visit. The beef tamales at Sandra's Restaurant have a true flavor and are tender and juicy. The red chile beef tamales come with a unique reddish brown chile sauce that might remind you of Mole, but it's actually a chile sauce inside the handmade masa. The sweet tamales have a hint of cinnamon and raisins, and are not overly sweet. Sandra's sweet tamales include a brownish variety made with brown sugar that is also not overly sweet. The restaurant's parking lot, located in the rear with 8 stalls and one spot designated for disabled individuals, is accessible via an alleyway, while front parking is also available. Sandra's tamales are absolutely delicious! I had heard great things about them and finally decided to try them myself. I ended up buying 14 tamales because they were just that good. My favorites were the green chile and cheese tamales, but every one I tried was delicious. I highly recommend giving them a try!

Got tamales de chile rojo de res, but it looks more like mole. It's not so good for my taste. Very soggy. Could not taste the chile.
