Santa Lucia - Reservar una mesa

...but that’s the only compliment I can give!!. We were delayed leaving to go for dinner due to a phone call. The place we intended to eat at was full. As it was Sunday many places were closed so we ended up here in what was on arrival a pretty full and busy place. We (and others around us) waited 15 minutes for a menu and another 10 to order. Our drinks came shortly after ordering. We then waited another 45 minutes for our food(main courses only). Near our table was a couple who were there ahead of us but got the menu after us. The gent complained at the time. They got their drinks fairly quickly too but my wife said the gent was looking at his watch all the time waiting for the food. She said ‘he’s fuming’! When my pizza arrived the gent flew out of his chair, shouted at the waiter including some obscenities saying they were there before us and then charged out of the place without paying for the drinks with his female partner following on behind! My pizza was the biggest I’ve ever had....and the most tasteless too. My wife’s fish course was borderline acceptable. The jacket potato was cold, the fish over cooked and salty. The combination of potato, rice, veg casserole and three grilled fish was odd. The wine was expensive for what it was. If I’d had to wait another 10 minutes for our food I too was planning on leaving and not paying! The service was terrible, the food almost as bad. I felt a little sorry for the waiter as they were really busy, but that’s what they are paid for so he could have explained at the outset that they were under pressure and delays would happen. Read the earlier reviews too. We didn’t! This theme is not new here...I’d never eat there again even if I was starving....avoid the place!

We should have known when sitting down for lunch waiting for friend that it wouldn’t be a good experience “you can’t just have drinks you need to eat”. Rude. Place was empty also I might add and it was after 1pm. Moules Marinieres over cooked. Had to go in and find waitress to ask for more drinks was chatting to the waiter inside My friend lives in apartments above and said she never goes there. Now I know why. Don’t bother. Only giving a 2 because my friend’s pizza was nice

Lunch in the marina Walking the dog as I was passing looked through the window and saw the tempting food on display on some unsuspecting customers. Mmm I thought give this a try. I’m so glad I did as the service and food was excellent t a very reasonable price for this part of the world. I genuinely enjoyed my lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food being served. I will return.

Very nice restaurant, visited twice. The wood pizza oven is very nice, yielding some pretty tasting pies. Personnel is friendly and rather used with tourists whose French is not perfect. Highly recommend for a tasty pizza or other Italian meals.

I would definitely recommend this place. Delicious food, helpful staff, and reasonable prices. We particularly enjoyed the veal dishes, seafood pasta, and pasta carbonara.
