The young woman who took my order over the phone was friendly and very accommodating, taking her time without rushing me. Their menu offers much more than just pizza, but for now, we focused on the pizza and salad. I’m happy to report that both the pizza and the salad were excellent. Now, let's talk about that salad. For just $7.50, we received a generous garden salad that went beyond the ordinary. It was loaded with fresh greens, a variety of vegetables, and even cauliflower. It was so substantial that it almost resembled a large chef's salad—just missing the protein. At first glance, the restaurant appeared very clean and well-organized. However, the highlight was definitely the pizza....
Sapori is my go-to spot every time I'm in the Cicero area. The pizza is phenomenal (especially the cheese pizza) and every pasta dish I've tried has been very good; I highly recommend the fettuccine Alfredo. They've recently changed locations and no longer offer the full dine-in experience they used to, but they still have a couple tables available if someone is looking to stay and eat. We visited this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago, and we both had a wonderful meal. My wife was so pleased with her food that she even saved some leftovers for me, which is a clear sign of her enjoyment. The service was quite slow, but the staff informed us that they had a sudden staff shortage that day, so I won't deduct any stars for that. We both agreed that we want to return and explore more items on the menu.
I always enjoy my meals here—they're consistently delicious. The chicken riggies are the best I've ever tasted, with each bite being absolutely delightful. The arancini is also fantastic. Coming from a family with Italian roots, I can confidently say that the sauce and the food are truly authentic. I wholeheartedly support this business and encourage everyone else to do the same! I understand you can't please everyone, every day. Perhaps this just was an off day, I feel like Sapori can (and) will do better when I try them again. Nothing better than finding a good Italian restaurant to add to your regular list. And everyone is worth a 2nd chance!
