I had a lovely dinner here on 3/28/15 with CG! The exterior is very deceiving looks a bit run down and dull but the inside is cozy and had a very homey feel. They even have a few of the traditional seating booths. We were too hungry to wait for one. Service was spectacular. The waitresses are in traditional dress, slippers and all! We were given hot towels along with our water and little plates of yummy sauteed green beans to start. We decided to order 4 special rolls Mt. Came here on a busy Saturday night. The resturant has regular tables, 2 types of tatami rooms- one with the leg room and a traditional one as well. The sushi was great and was fresh. There were many raw and nonraw options. There is also hibachi entrees and kitchen dishes. We got the sushi sashimi for 3 $90). Had a wide assortment of sushi, sashimi, and rolls. The place looks a little dingy from the outside but service food are great.
Pretty good sushi restaurant in Wantagh doesn 't have a huge selection of various rolls. However, the ones they do have were fresh. Stand out was the chirashi don which is hard to get served the proper way around here. By that I mean the rice is vinegar sushi rice which goes great with the delicate flavors of the fish. This place did it right. Service was a tad rushed but friendly and prices aren 't too bad. Recommended.

This is the best sushi on Long Island, no doubt about it. My husband and I visit at least once a week. We adore the owners, staff, and experienced sushi chefs. Our favorite rolls are the Alan roll, Mt. Fuji roll, and Movie Star roll. And, let's not forget about their incredible Lychee Martini! As a picky eater, I highly recommend this spot for dining in or for takeout.
I am a fan of Sapporo and frequently dine in; especially in the back room where you can sit on the floor japanese style. Customers are given free appetizers (such as edamame), which is always a plus. In my experience, the sushi has always been fresh and really flavorful! This is one of my favorite sushi spots in the Wantagh area.
My friend recommended and took us to this restaurant, and we greeted by the owner as soon as we came in, and she and her staffs are very friendly. We had different rolls and sashimi. Food is very tasty and freshly. We will definitely come back again.
I have nothing but good things to say about Sapporo! Every time we visit, we try a different sushi roll and have never been disappointed. It has become our favorite sushi spot in the neighborhood. I highly recommend it!

We had an excellent meal. We ordered the sushi pizza and it was the finest one I have had. The Turo sushi was very nice and tender. All the fish was fresh and tasty. We had wonderful rolls and drinks. We shall return
