I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sapps, a small and trendy Japanese restaurant, and I cannot rave enough about the experience! From the moment we walked in, the lively atmosphere made us feel welcome and set the stage for a fantastic meal.We started by sharing a few appetizers, which were all equally amazing. The takoyaki was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor. The Kara-age was equally impressive, with its juicy, well-seasoned chicken and a delightful crunch. The pork gyoza had an ideal balance of crispy edges and soft dumpling texture, while the tempura appetizer showcased an array of vegetables and shrimp in a light, airy batter that simp...

Haven't written a review for a bit but this was a must. Service : Front Host and servers were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Made some great recommendations. Always in the small details like my water cup was never empty. Started with grilled octopus , miso cod . The cod was flakey and grilled to perfection. The octopus was charred with a hint of smokey flavor, grilled to the perfect tenderness. Drinks had a passion fruit mojito. Perfect balance of sourness from the passion fruit to the Mojito. Compliments to the bar tender. I'm not a huge drink fan but there is an extensive list. Curry Pork Kastu and sashimi for entrees. Super fresh fish would definitely order again. The curry was out...

I love it at this place for a drink at the bar during the Happy Hour (weekdays from 5 a.m.) or over the weekend to see a game on the big projector screen above the bar. Only problem is that they do not play the audio of the game on the speakers; only video. Either the food is super delicious sushi and excellent hot appetizers and they have a decent beer selection on tap. I had some Brooklyn Brewery IPAs, but they also had Brooklyn Warehouse, their standard Japanese beers like Asahi and Sapporo and a few others. There are restaurant seats on the back and on an intermediate floor in the rear as well. Overall, I like Sapps both as a bar to take a quick drink or two or to sit for a delicious Jap...

This Japanese restaurant/bar has become my favorite Friday night hangout spot! The food is consistently good, and the atmosphere is just right for a fun night out. Compared to many other options in Long Island City, the prices here are very reasonable. While there are many new Instagrammable restaurants popping up in the area, they can be quite pricey to visit on a regular basis. This place, however, manages to maintain a fun and affordable vibe that keeps me coming back week after week. Highly recommended!

Very nice and professional service! Always a great place to hang out! I go the at least one at week! Thanks you guys! And the food A1!! (This was 1 year ago 5)But every time I go something new:Now August 2023 (4)I have to Edit it because still a good place. But now all of the decorations were gone including the posters and figures. I would say thats what make it unique. But overall, incredible experience and service.

Absolute great restaurant for an intimate celebration or just lunch with friends. The space is filled will cute but hip anime decor (One piece fans will be happy). We started off with the Lychee Martini that was shaken at the table and Korean beer. I recommend the chicken kara-age and egg drop soup for appetizers and at this place every roll is super fresh and flavorful so don't hold back!

Sapps is one of the better quality sushi establishments in LIC and in Queens. We have been going here for years and since the pandemic the vibe has changed a bit but the quality of food is still pretty good. We always get the blast roll, rock shrimp tempura, chicken meatballs, and our newest favorite is the miso cod a must have. Staff is great and the sushi chefs are top notch.

I always order in this place, both dine in and to go. The employees are very friendly and polite. Sometimes when I order to go they gave me a free salad or seaweed snack inside the bag. Their food is delicious too. One of the best sushi places in new york, very delicious.
