Had a lunch at Ristorante Sassella, on a nice July day, after a recommendation by a friend working at the UN Campus. It took me less than minutes by taxi from the Marriott Hotel. We ate in the garden terrace, there was plenty of...distance amongst the tables. My dishes came from the Tageskarte as recommended by one of the owners who was so kind to come to our table and suggested the plates personally. Not sure you'll always find these dishes, and the boss is coming to your table, but if the rest of the food is of the same quality, you should enjoy it for sure. Evening out with friends, food has great quality, service was very good, ambiance very nice. Waiters were very nice and attentive. Nice...choices of wines! Highly appreciated the weekly menu with fresh ingredients and new ideas. We tried different types of starters, pasta and second courses. The photo here shows the lamb back, it was a dream. We have been here several time. We use to go there on specal Days, like Birthdays and so on. The Food ist fresh, well hand made and you can see, its made with love. BUT What happened to the good Waiter-team? We went there ago for a special Day and the guy who served us did not even know a bit about how to tread Guest in a Place like that. He was willing to, but did not know how to. No Adviser ore Senior Stuf to help him out.

The food was wonderful, we went here for dinner with people and we all took a different dish. We had starters, meat and fish all excellent! The meat was spot on and delicious as was the entire location. Staff was a little slow...that evening but very friendly. I would recommend to book a table as every table was taken and it is still the hot spot in Bonn. We will be coming again!
Have eaten there many times over the past years and have never been disappointed. Great food and service. They usually serve you wish delicious bread and olive oil while you wait for your food. Especially lovely in the summer/warmer weather when you can sit...outside.
Ristorante Sassella is very well known in Bonn as it is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. Food is very traditional Italian and very good. Service is friendly and helpful. Good wines. Reservation recommended.
Friday evening to get a place without having reserved is not quite easy.If you were successful, you will feel at home; a family service and a selected card let the culinary heart beat higher; you should bring some money.
