You always get a friendly warm greeting from the team at SASSO and unlike most places there is little churn in in the core team a sure sign of a well run establishment. My wife and I shared special wild boar pasta. Sasso 's pastas are delicate and more refind than most as was the case here, however for wild boar in we thought it a touch under powered. Mains were far more successful . My other half who has a smaller appetite had a 2nd stater Mussels which she declared superb large juicy and succulent. My filet steak was perfectly cooked for me with a tasty truffle/ mushroom sauce. No room for puds, but we did try a variety of red and white wines by the glass. A good test for any restaurant is...
Visited Sasso last night Saturday 2/9/23 for a birthday meal. I was completely disappointed by the whole experience. I ordered the lobster ravioli which was completely bland, and a ridiculously small portion for a main course. The waiting staff took my plate away within 1 minute of finishing which felt completely rushed and I ordered a desert which was also ridiculously smal price of chocolate tart. Plus side my sister complained about the food to the waiter and she removed the charge. I won't be going back again. Not what it used to be!! Marcel
In Harrogate, unfamiliar with the town and wanting a quick early-evening meal before a long drive south. So we looked around for a pizza express or similar, and spotted Sasso just round the corner with Google Maps. So pleased we came across this place before a pizza chain....because Sasso is first class super food, even on the quick pre-theatre deal. Wish we'd been there for a more major meal ! Lovely sea bream cooked perfectly and a really tasty saffron and mushroom risotto, cheerfully and helpfully served. Would like to go back!
Visited early on a Thursday evening. Staff were welcoming and friendly. I chose the main portion £18.50 of linguine with tiger prawns, delicately flavoured, disappointed that only contained 5 prawns. My partner opted for 2 course offer, pate was delicious, grilled chicken as would expect. Overall a pleasant dinner but not somewhere we'd rush back to.

As a regular(weekly)visitor to Sasso the whole experience didn't disappoint with the Food, Ambience especially the Ist Class Service by Sarah Debra faultless. Maintaining a high level is never easy to reach but to maintain it is altogether an additional plus which is much appreciated making it a really enjoyable lunch.
First visit for a business lunch. The set menu is amazing value. I had the duck pâté which was exceptional and then mushroom risotto equally delicious. Can’t believe I’d not found this restaurant before. Will definitely be back!
Lovely place. Excellent food and friendly helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us. I struggled with the menu as I don’t eat meat and I was made starter and main meal that was not on the evening menu and it was delicious.
Our second visit after it was recommended to us . This time for our anniversary . The food is delicious, all freshly made , lovely atmosphere, great service, reasonably priced. We will return again. It’s well worth a visit.

Absolute best. Had a recent family celebration at Sasso where the food and service was outstanding. The pana cotta was to die for. My thanks to the Chefs and front of house team for looking after us. Can't recommend enough.
