I have been to Sasso on numerous occasions for family meals and have had great experiences there. However, there seems to have been a recent change in the atmosphere where the staff are focused on getting customers in and out as quickly as possible. They were constantly pressuring our group to order, even though our friends had just sat down and had not yet looked at the menu. The food was disappointingly average during this visit, with the strawberry cheesecake being particularly disappointing. Despite spending over £200 for four people, we felt rushed and uncomfortable with the staff constantly hovering over our table. Sasso's is a lovely looking place with unusual decor; has a feel of being outdoors in a courtyard but is fully protected from the elements. The staff were very efficient and got everything right, although they seemed a little harried. The output from the kitchen though was very poor: lasagne with no bechamel sauce and very little meat; salmon bunt at one end and smothered in cream so you only find out too late; zucchini frite prepared with old, bitter tasting courgettes. At the prices they are charging (c.£40 a head) the food quality needs to be improved.
Located in the heart of Disley village, this Italian restaurant is absolutely fabulous. The ambiance is stunning as soon as you step through the door. The food and service were equally impressive. Our waitress, Georgiana, was extremely welcoming and friendly, making our visit a memorable one. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be returning regularly.
We visited on sat evening . Great atmosphere. Lovely food and excellent service as always from the staff. We had a lovely evening and even though we live near Cibo we would rather travel to Disley . Sasso is so much better . Even though all staff were great a special thanks to Erion who looked after us very well.

The food was delicious, but the waiter was extremely rude. He became even angrier when we declined to pay the 10% tip that was automatically added to the bill. I believe a tip should be given for exceptional service, not forced on customers as an additional charge for their meal.
The food is brilliant but the service doesn’t match unfortunately. The staff brought the food out perfect but it’s not America and didn’t realise we payed a fortune in tips before giving a tip on top and had no thanks for it or appreciation for it.
Came here on a recommendation and so glad we did. Absolutly great place. Ambiance was lovely, staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing. Reasonable price too, can't fault a thing. Will be back with friends and family.
9 of us visited to celebrate a birthday including 2 kids) great evening food excellent, tasty and plentiful great service friendly and very engaging with the kids. Service of food excellent, drinks, etc. overall a great place

Good service, lower tables away from kitchen quieter as on a previous previous visit upstairs table was noisy and echoey, couldn't hold a conversation.
The ambiance, the vibe all very good. It's just that very badly done food let's this place down. Staffs 5 star
