I got lost for our 7pm reservation which was only 6 minutes away .. RYAN the owner was patient on the phone with driving directions... it 's cute and charming to the eye. It has an outdoor sitting area weather permitting of wooden tables and benches separated 6 feet or more for social distancing. The food was mmmmmuah . The 3 HUGE chicken tenders were crispy and nicely seasoned and the different sauces made it even more wonderful. I have been here when it was called Savin Rock Roasting. Food and service were good. Things changed. I went today, March 19, 2022 at 2:15 pm with my husband. The restaurant is now called Beef Brew Pub. We entered the dining room. There was no wait staff there, just the female bartender at the bar in the adjoining room. The bartender clearly saw us, made eye contact and chose to ignore us. She chose to chat with the 4 customers who were drinking. After 10 minutes we left and decided to go and spend our money where it is welcomed. There is no need to support a business that mistreats customers,
came highly recommended by coworkers but I wasnt too impressed. I ordered crab bisque and seafood cake appetizers..soup had less crab than sherry flavor and seafood cakes were salty and had a few dry bits of seafood that detracted from the overall taste,not bad but just short of being good ..husband ordered the chicken wrap with fries.he enjoyed both. Iced tea and one soda..the bill was 40.00.staff was super friendly and attentive but not sure if I'd return.
The food was good, I just got hotdogs so you can't really go wrong with that . The house made chips were delicious and so was the RI chowder (that was gone in a minute). The service was really good, she told us it was her first day but she was excellent. I ordered the shrimp pineapple fried rice to go and just ate it last night. Never disappointed at Savin Rock Roasting Company! They have daily specials- unique, creative, fresh dishes. Portion size is hearty. Salad dressings all house-made. Fresh herbs and vegetables growing outside and inside. The owner is friendly and down-to-earth. Staff is welcoming and attentive. My mom and I come here a lot and then walk the boardwalk right outside- perfect day out! Highly, Highly recommend!!!
Hot Lobster Roll with cherry peppers on the side (by request and a must try). Homemade potato chips and extra hot butter. I have been coming here for over 10 years and this was the first time I had their lobster roll and I wish I had it sooner, fantastic! Shout out to Sally for taking good care of me on Friday afternoon.
All I have to say is California Cakes. Oh. My. God!!! If you visit here; you have to get the California Cakes. Also got the calamari, which was okay (a little over cooked and dry on this particular evening). The staff is friendly and there are plastic barriers at the bar and dining areas for social distancing.
Place was kind of dirty, the service was super slow. Food was horrible and overpriced. You do not get what you pay for! I don't know what these people experienced from other reviews but even the atmosphere is a weird dive bar setting. Highly do not recommend Reserva una mesa ahora
