We stumbled on this place in Starnberg, which as Starnberg is pretty small it was difficult to find. The restaurant is right next to the restaurants Asian market which is how we discovered this little gem. I suppose having your own Asian market helps with the food quality. This place is about as big as a closet. The kitchen is an open kitchen, and I think the owner is the cook, at least she acts like it. One of my most frequent complaints about Asian food in Germany has always been how it becomes Germanized, not very spicy, flavors are tame, not enough chilis, not enough curry, you get the picture. We took a day trip to Starnberg lake from Munich on 16th July 2015. After taking a boat tour around the north of the lake we called at Sawasdee and we're quickly seated by a very helpful, friendly waitress. As we don't speak much German we informed the waitress on our preferences and based on her recommendation we decided upon red Thai chicken curry and red Thai vegetable curry both accompanied by boiled rice. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced (€25 for us both including one drink each, beer and cola) This restaurant is attached to a small Thai supermarket. Don't miss this little gem if visiting Starnberg.

Wonderful authentic cuisine, goes fast at lunchtime, tastes very good, different and how I find better than the usual dishes that you otherwise get served in a Thai fast restaurant. By the way, it is actually served at the table, even this is just different - as usual and better!

Very good food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Just around the corner from our hotel in the center of Starnberg.
This is a good place to try "something different." in Starnberg, which is not really full pf surprises.
Good authentic cuisine, but something too expensive. For me, it's not a restaurant, rather a snack.
