Scalini Fedeli - Reserva de mesa

This was our first time dining at Scalini Fedeli. I decided to try it based on the excellent reviews I had heard about the food and service (we had a guest with us who enjoys fine dining). From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The dining room was beautifully decorated with lit candles on each table, white tablecloths, and classic paintings on the walls. The service was exceptional, with multiple waiters catering to our every need. Each dish was expertly presented and, most importantly, tasted delicious.

I made a reservation for my girlfriend's birthday and we were greeted warmly, with our coats being taken and stored. They asked if we were happy with our table or if we preferred a more private setting, and then moved us. The service staff made sure we had everything we needed and the chef sent us complimentary appetizers that were delicious. The food was excellent and the overall experience was perfect. To top it off, they brought out a dessert for my girlfriend's birthday.

My dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The service was good, but not outstanding in terms of attention to detail. The restaurant has a classic Italian atmosphere with arched ceilings and dimly lit tables that give you a sense of being transported to a different time. The food was delicious, with the exception of the duck which was a bit tough and overwhelmed by the overly sweet sauce. The seafood pasta and the Bolognese were particularly outstanding.

My new guy and I went here after I searched a lower Manhattan spot for him to get to as soon as possible and away from Tuesday traffic. The decor is pure Italian and gives you all the feels, it puts your mind in that space also. My date and I had a full feast and were pleasantly surprised at such great customer service and cleanliness. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully placed! See photos attached. The ambiance is golden candle light and flowers is only exceeded my the amazing food and service. The food was presented like works of art. The combination of textures and scents and taste made me quiver in anticipation of the next plate. The flavors took me on such a journey. I found myself scraping my plates just to still enjoy some of the sauces. It was an inspired meal.

It’s the classic somewhat upscale NYC Italian dine spot. Great for intimate settings or large family-style meals. The prix fixe menu might lack in vegetarian options, but if you like meat, you’ll have plenty to choose from. Highly recommend!
