Two adults/two kids (hungry) and we got out for under 50 euro. The food was excellent, and the service was very attentive (despite a busy Sunday crowd). Having done a 15km walk from Muggendorf we literally stumbled over Scheffel after visiting the local cathedral. The interior is a typical Franconian pub, still maintaining it's 1950s look and feel — but well maintained and in top condition. It's one of the places where the locals go for food and drink apparently, and for a reason: food is of very good quality at decent prices, the local beer (Wallfahrerbier) is well worth a try and the staff are friendly. A true family run restaurant.
Very bad food. Sounds good in the menu, but taste, sausage castle and quality of ingredients below average. Muffins taste for edible oil on the scavenger. Salad boring sweet. Vegetable whirlpool tasteless with pan-coated vegetables. Local is actually quite cozy inside, except for smell after frying oil and bad ventilation, service is friendly and beautiful, but cooked touri mass production.

We've been here on vacation for several years. The big beer garden behind the house with the old Linden is just a poem. In the evening and weekend you need some luck to get a place. Operation friendly. Can be recommended.
spontaneously got a room, all very courteous and friendly. The rooms are simple, but clean and convenient at a super price. Food also good and cheap. Clear recommendation!
Excellent traditional food, good service, reasonably priced, nice seating areas. I suggest trying their locally brewed beer or a good glass of white wine...
