Like looking at other people's reviews and see if they equate with my own. Salsajo has got the breakfast right to a tee but as it was part of the accommodation it seemed excellent value. As is said, there was everything. On a rating with an all inclusive American style hotel breakfast where they dazzle you with the abundance, Schiller/Stein's was top notch and you would need to travel along way for a better breakfast. The word hearty spring to mind.I must have missed something because I thought my evening meal with a bottle of Mosel was extremely good value and if you talk about paying through the nose, come with me to a few over priced French restaurants. The Chef is very much in charge of...

We had two meals at this very attractive restaurant as the guest of other family members. One was the standard breakfast that is available for all hotel guests that stay in the adjacent Hotel Stein. It was a very good european buffet with many cheeses and cold cuts available, as well as fresh smoked salmon. You could have your eggs cooked to your choice. There was a lovely fruit salad and museli too, although there was a large number of people there that day in the other room and we found that the staff was not very quick at refilling the plates and bowls, so there was often a wait for things. The other meal was a full "mittagessen" midday meal with 5 courses, including dessert. It is skillfu...

We arrived late after a city center walk. The big choice was between a full 3/4/5/6 course dinner or a visit in the bistro. We choose the bistro based on the fact that we were dressed casual....And what a choiceWe ordered two rump steak, followed by sweet dessert for my wife and cheese plate for me. The stake was perfect grilled, high quality beef with a fantastic souce. Accomplished with fresh salad, good fries (it's actually doable) and a nice Chianti by glass (actually 1/2 bottle)The desserts should be awarded a price. Cheese plate included 8-9 different tastes - all with carma and intense taste. The sweet looked and tasted 5 star-restaurant. All in all a full dinner at the level you expe...

Although Koblenz has a great number ofpleasant restaurants, very few seem to reach "above normal" levels. We were advised by a local colleague to try Schiller's.This restaurant is part of a hotel and offers a spacious car park. In summer there is a patio but we had an evening meal inside. Comfort and style were excellent and we were only surprised by the elephant head (probably fake) adorning one wall. Cooking had nothing exotic however and we enjoyed a very good explanation on the menu by -probably- the lady of the house. She also arranged the wines, all from the Rhine vineyards to go with the degustation menu. In short: we had a real gastronomic meal in style. It is true: Schiller's is not... Reserva una mesa ahora

Schiller's proposes a 4-courses, 16 experiences menu for 79.50 euros. Including the 2 amuses and the after dessert that is a 19 small dishes (some of them bite-sized) degustation menu. The flavor pairing are influenced by several cuisines (among which quite a bit of Asian influences) and are original and well thought through. Everything was good with some very good dishes (the bouillabaisse, the tomato water amuse, the tuna water melon tartare and the tomato sorbet) and some exceptional ones (both foie gras dishes). The local wine selection is extremely good value and there are also some cheaper seasonal menus and a la carte selections. The service & atmosphere are a touch formal (it's Germa...

Had lunch here, they have a fixed menu of 4 , 5 or 6courses but what a treat ! We decided on the 4 course menuwith each course comprising many small but delightful dishes, and we were quite full afterwards. The chef excells at combining different and sometimes unexpected ingredients to produce a very interestingexperience for ones taste buds. They also have a small but interesting wine list covering thedifferent regions of German wines. We had an excellentSpätburgunder from Ahr at a very reasonable price. The service was friendly, all in all a great lunch, will return.

I returned to Schillers again after years, and found that things have not changed at all. High standards still prevail at this establishment. The food is outstanding and everything sampled was excellent. Service was very professional and attentive. Every attention happily was given to...adapt a dish for myself to make it vegetarian. The restaurant has a feeling of Gemütlichkeit which in German means the idea feeling of warmth, friendliness and good cheer. Prices are high, but it is nice for that special night out. Reservations are recommended.

I returned to Schiller's for dinner in December, 3rd time in the last couple of years. As before, it was with a group of work colleagues following a long day of meetings. The atmosphere, fine wine, and unique menu items made for a very relaxing evening - a perfect place to enjoy good food & good company. Highly recommended for foodies, or if you are just looking for somewhere above the median of Koblenz restaurants. A remark on the location - it is outside of town, not walking distance from the Altstadt hotels, so you will need a car or taxi. Reserva una mesa ahora

This is a lovely restaurant serving creative, flavor-packed food that never fails to satisfy. i have dined here for several years now, and i am always impressed by the chef's flair, the outstanding service, great wines, and reasonable prices (given the quality of the food). Dining experiences here are simply exquisite. My recommendation: the multi-course prix fixe dinners, with wine. They are always amazing.
