Franz Ferdinand's palace-museum is in a handsome building, fascinatingly evokes the momentous history it was intimately intertwined with and overlooks lovely countryside towards the Alps. The cafe is inside the building and is cute, with inside and outside sitting areas and lots of interesting things on the walls related to the ill-fated Archduke and Archduchess. We enjoyed beer, coffee, peppermint tea and an excellent pair of Frankfurters with freshly grated horseradish, plus mustard and a semmel. They also do goulash soup and a 'Franz-Ferdinand toast', known elsewhere in the German-speaking world by the less grand name of 'Spezial Toast'. Infinitely preferable to the ludicrous Schlossgasthof Artstetten, a bit below the Schlossmuseum, which refuses to provide access to their Wifi to guests for lunch (see separate review).
