Schloss Filseck

This was the first night of two in Salamanca in which we were the only diners in the restaurant. We don't know if we were dining at an unusual hour (21:30) or perhaps this is just a really slow time in the city. But it meant that we didn't get the sense of the general vibe of the restaurant on a busy night. We both ordered from the fixed price menu. Our first course was chopped tomatoes with beetroot cubes and pieces of sardine. The tomatoes were rather flavorless. And I thought the dish would have benefited from something acid and some fresh herbs. Our second dish was a seafood risotto. It was really quite rich and flavorful. I think I may prefer my risotto not quite so al dente. But the rice was not crunchy so that was a good thing. Our main course were beef medallions with mushroom cream sauce. There were also little strings of zucchini and, I think, parsnips. This was a successful and tasty dish. For dessert I had a very well prepared flan with the usual caramel sauce and some raspberry couli. My husband had the cheesecake with which he was pleased. We shared a bottle of red wine as well as a bottle of water with gas.

This restaurant was really a bad choice. Bad service very arrogant staff, bad food I asked a meat strudel that came cold and without a strudel and also without any kind of rice or vegetables or pommes... just a cold meat. Even very few possibilities on drinking, for example, they did not have any kind of juice without sparkling. I would also like to point out that they asked me a 100€ reservation fee we are 6 adults 2kids because they only serve menu and it was January 1st. I paid and when we arrived, we were the only ones in the restaurant I found out why later... and there was no menu. I paid for a regular reservation.... Very bad experience. Not recommended

La comida más deliciosa, excepto postres. El personal un poco arrogante; nada más para sentarse, preguntando si podíamos pedir todo en el medio para compartir, la respuesta de una de las camareras era: tienes que pedir un mínimo de un plato por persona, cuando el dinero no era el problema, porque al final pagamos € 140 para la cena cuatro personas. Siendo un lugar pequeño, nada que una mesa grita, es imposible pasar una noche agradable.

Lo siento por el personal. Buena comida pero algunos platos muy escasos. Sólo por el trato, no es volver incluso si la comida era 10.
