Schloss Rapperswil

Rapperswil Castle is the symbol of the picturesque City of Roses on the shore of Lake Zurich. Built towards the end of the 12th century and subsequently renovated several times, the castle is visible from afar and stands high above the town, on the Lindenhof, a chain of hills that crosses Rapperswil. Although it is visible, it does not appear to be open to visitors as the site is used for events and weddings and the museum inside appears to be temporarily closed. A shame.

Wow, the castle is an amazing venue. Unfortunately this is not a public restaurant....it is a catered location, which can be booked for venues from 10 persons upwards, with hardly limits to the top.....even hundreds of guests (for example for a wedding) are catered at an extremly high level. we had a family dinner their and every one was flattered by the high level the kitchen sent out to the guests. combined with the location, this was a perfect day !

We up to 40 45 people) had our Christmas dinner at this castle. There are several dining halls. The service staff were not many but work quite efficiently. They offer a couple of set menus. Judging from all we had including the venue, they offer fairly good value for money. The venue is unique. The dinner and wine lacked a bit particularity.

A beautiful Swiss castle in Rapperswill-Jona, awesome for a little walk through the city! Also surrounded by a lot of restaurants. You shouldn't miss this view, we were able to take some nice pictures! There is also a little deer park, which is very well-kept, as well as other little fun gimmicks for children. Wir waren zu Weihnachten auf dem Schloss und haben hier die Aussicht auf den Zürich See und Rapperswil selbst genossen. Das kleine Wildgehege lädt ebenfalls zum Verweilen und beobachten ein. Die angrenzenden Kaffees und Restaurants runden den Ausflug ab.

Das Schloss befindet sich in einer interessanten Lage mit einer wunderschönen Landschaft. Veranstaltungen werden organisiert, aber keine Mahlzeit kann serviert werden. Es ist einen Besuch wert als Reiseziel

The old town of Rapperswil has preserved its medieval alleys. The main attraction of Rapperswil is the very old Rapperswil Castle
