I usually prefer the castle garden in arolsen other restaurants, but since I was invited, I had the opportunity to eat there. the map offers mainly German dishes. where the daily dish can also be something else and is also something out or exotic. I ordered a 'kinder wienerschnitzel', a black carving, and I didn't think I could be so excited about a simple carving and would have come into the shimmer! the scavenger was very thin, perfect but it was a big part and tasted neither dry nor as if it had been in the oil, but was simply really perfect. definitiw the best carving, what I have eaten so far from the house. also the pommes were amazingly good. only the salad that was sufficient was too...

the attraction of the greenhouse of restaurant schlossgarten is enormous. it is spacious, cool, modern, friendly and clean. the friendly waiter recommends the pinot griogio from four more attractive wines. it is on place: not too fruity, balanced and exact to temperature. Why did we wait? so long before we came to bad arolsen? oh, yeah, I forgot. we wanted to visit the castle, the birthplace of Queen emma.

picturesque tavern next to the castle, great environment and busy at most days. basic German menu with good portions but nothing to write home. good wine selection, but if they prefer a beer with their steak at midday, then limited selection that. is a scandal, since most German beers are very good.

This was only a 2 minute walk from our hotel and it was an impulsive decision to give it a try. What an excellent choice. The choice of food was varied and the quality was excellent. Very good service and a lot to choose from. The portions of soup are rather small. Desserts are delicious. Nothing in English. Bring your guide if you do not understand German.
