A well-known and popular place in Schwetzingen, something hidden next to the castle. The entrance is rather inconspicuous and you are all the more surprised how large it is inside. Outside there is also a large seating area with a direct entrance. There are fruit trees on the grounds, everything is bordered with high hedges. Really quiet ambience. The menu is extensive. There are light things like some salads, small vasper, but also pasta dishes and some carving options. On the map there are always 2 carvings, then there are 2 medium-sized carvings with plenty of supplement and sauce (depending on the ordered variant). Prices are cheap for the portions. The services were fast and friendly.
The place is a very down to earth restaurant/bar in a small street in the heart of Schwetzingen, right next to the famous castle. It offers seatings inside as as well as outside in the Biergarten.The food portions are big, the menu offers a variety of different food, the prices are reasonable and the quality of food is good.It also offers a great selection of beers from a local brewery!

During the Christmas market in Schwetzingen all other restaurants were full on a Saturday night, so we were happy to get the last available table. Friendly service, good local beer and large parts of local specialties. From what we saw outside, the beer garden must be great in summer, but we were here mid-December!
Pleasant restaurant and a good alternative to the restaurant in the palace. Mostly typical german food of good quality and reasonably priced
Nice atmosphere to sit outside but service was poor and food wasn't frozen average... The beer was okay! No recommodation...
