I stayed in the hotel for about 2 weeks and here is my conclusion. Location 5/5: Very good location. Everything can be reached on foot and the area is very clean. You should keep in mind that there is a primary school right next door and the courtyard faces the hotel. It can get very loud, but that didn 't bother me personally. Room (single room 1/5: The walls are so thin that I could hear my roommates (snoring, phone calls, going to the toilet, etc. . I was allowed to move into Göbels Sophien 's little sister hotel for a week in November 2023 because the Sophien Hotel was fully occupied. First of all: old, musty hotel on the market with ancient furnishings. Small bathroom and an equally musty roof room. It 's probably also due to the ancient carpet floor. Mattresses are through. Simply no “feel good” possible. It urgently needs a general renovation and definitely doesn 't deserve a 3*. For breakfast: very clear for the price. Only 2 different rolls to choose from. We spontaneously stayed there for two nights and were warmly welcomed in the evening by our colleague from Greifswald (greetings to him). Rooms aren't super new but everything is clean and fresh. Everything you need is there, hairdryer, shower, TV, WiFi, comfortable bed... We didn't have a fridge, but we didn't need it either. The breakfast was great. Everything your heart desires... We found all the staff to be pleasant, friendly and nice. Price/performance was right for us. We would recommend it and visit it again ourselves if it takes us to Eisenach again.... Thank you
