‘Stopped into a deli for a tuna sandwich on a Friday during Lent…pretty basic. Well, they were out of tuna. So I ordered the lox and bagels. They were out of that, too. So I asked well what do you have…it’s Friday. The only vegetarian option they had was ladkes. So I said well I’ll have that. While I waited for my order, I listened to the boss being rude to his employees. ‘Paid too much for what I got, and tasted it for the rest of the afternoon. The reason, by the way for being out of tuna, is that they had been celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Well, isn’t that a reason for being out of corned beef? I have to believe that I’m not the only Catholic in Wheaton, and I have to believe that folks...
One , the whole decor is kind of hokey, artificial... Two, my wife was asked what she might want, and as she was saying 'I think I 'd like to try... ' she was cutoff by the cashier who started barking at the guy who couldn 't figure out which decanter was coffee... Third, and most important Nearly $50 for two lunches and both the corned beef and the pastrami lacked flavor, to such an extent, I wasn 't convinced it was just cheap ham. The soups also were barely average. This is not an exaggeration. We both sat there and said 'we should have just driven into the city for Manny 's. The meats reminded me of something out of a blister pack at the store. I 'm sorry
Delicious food! This is the only spot to find authentic bagels in the western suburbs. The round items you've been having from other local places, with a hole in the middle, aren't true bagels—they're just bagel-shaped bread. The service could use some improvement, but I understand that staffing is challenging right now. I suggest placing an online pre-order.
This isn't the Schmaltz I remember. Don't bother visiting. They took the corned beef straight out of a bag, dipped it in boiling water to warm it up, and then put it on the bread. The name "Express" is accurate... there’s absolutely no parking available. Who chose this location? The staff was also unhelpful. I won't be returning, and I’ll miss it.

I had the Sloppy Paul with pastrami and it was amazing! The latkes were delicious, and I got a quart of matzo ball soup for my daughter. She has already texted me twice to thank me! This was our first visit, but definitely not our last. My daughter also loved their bagels.
My second time here. Inconsistent. The first time I ordered scmaltz breakfast sandwich and the egg was over easy which I prefer. Second time coming and they scrambled all ingredients together. Chili is mediocre and shouldn’t really be called chili
Prices dramatically increased and the overstuffed sandwiches were UNDERSTUFFED for sure. Skip the potato salad because it is less than a child's portion in size. Used to eat/order from here frequently. Will never order from here again. ?
I've been a Schmaltz fan for awhile but today they were even more on point! Really appreciate the great customer service with letting me know a few changes that needed to be made to my order. Plus the food was amazing!

Bought bagels in at the Naperville Location and they were always good. The bagels from this location were old, mushy and tasteless. What's up? Not coming back....
