I had breakfast on Sunday with my girlfriend. We had previously reserved a table by phone, which was also good, because all the tables were full and when you came without reservation, nothing left. The café is very nicely decorated, it has been recently renovated and has a very modern style. We had a table on the window, that was really nice. The service was very friendly, gave us time to choose our breakfast and was not intrusive. Café Schmidt is by far my favorite restaurant in Weingarten. Their desserts and baked goods are always delicious and their coffee and especially the hot chocolate are very tasty. I've never tried their pralines, but they look amazing. The seating area is clean and beautiful and offers a nice view of the park across from the café. It can get very crowded in the afternoon, so I would recommend making a reservation if you're planning to meet a friend for coffee. The staff is always very helpful, polite and friendly. They even have some toys for small children to play with. I will definitely be going back there soon.
