Schnitzelstubb - Reservar una mesa

We tried the Schnitzelstubb as per Trip Advisor reviews and stepped by as family in a rainy and cool day in Canela. The restaurant itself is small and full of German stuff, maps, glasses, flags and so on. Very nice indeed for a typical German...resemblance. The service is also good. However, we found the menu options Schnitzelly, meaning, too many options of the same for the main courses. The sausages though were great in variety and taste. We had the kassler but did not find as tender as we usually have it. We will have to take another try to check for changes in the menu. Prices were reasonable but the servings could be a litle more generous.

there is a very good number of plates they can only compare with good authentic German traditional cooking in Europe. the owner supervises it himself and he makes it professional and yet quite open and friendly to his guests and employees. They probably find nothing like that in the south hemisphere without flying very large distances. also the possibilities for beer and the German schnapps are very satisfying and it will certainly cost much less than they would normally expect to be such a combination of food quality and environment.

definitiw recommended. simple, homemade eating in this family restaurant. ok, it is almost toooo German I bet there are not many restaurants in Germany that this German but it is ok, it must be the nostalgia that the owner has rooted from its families. eating a lot of good food, no rushing place, perfect to relax. not to find obvious, as the entrance is covered by the hustle, which has not been cut for a dae. make sure they have the exact address provided.

the restaurant is located in a next street from the main square canela. it doesn't look like a restaurant from the outside, but trust me, it is! this is a traditional German restaurant specializing in carving (broken and picked pork). there is a number of different sorts we have number 6 (swiss carving), with grilled cheese and fresh mushrooms. the ambiente is very rustic and the eating is delicious.

it is a small place driven by a family. they will find a really homemade German food that has been made with love, as lilian, our host, told us. in front of the restaurant schnitzelstubb, I only feed tourists-deal! now I am sure I like German restaurant. at least from this. place!
