We came across the restaurant by chance and were pleasantly surprised. It has been newly renovated by the current owner with very tastefully decor. It keeps the charm of an old pub/restaurant and brings it up to date with fashionable wallpaper and fittings. The food is excellent I had mash potato with a lamb stew and gravy. Simply delicious. My partner raved about her vegetarian dish. They also serve a local beer from made by a micro brewery, which is also very good. Am Samstag 10. Juni 2023 waren wir mit fünf Personen zum Abendessen dort. Abwechslungsreiche Karte, für jeden etwas dabei! Sehr originell und gut ist das Grillen mit dem Green Egg auf der Terrasse. Die Gastleute Christina und Andreas Cetin waren sehr freundlich und haben Speisen und Getränke von bemerkenswerter Qualität auf den Tisch gezaubert. Dass fränkische Weißweine großartig sind, wussten wir. Jetzt sind wir auch vom Rotwein überzeugt: Ein fabelhafter Cabernet Mitos 2018, Erzeugerabfüllung vom Weingut Friedrich Ewald aus Großostheim. Weiterhin viel Spaß und Erfolg für die Schöntal-Weinstuben wünscht die Gruppe Alte Männer, altes Blech aus Köln.
We were invited to the Schöntal wine rooms for a birthday. It was a great stay there. The food was very delicious. There were Gans with all that. It was abundant and everything was generously handed down. We had our dog with us who was not only tolerated but very welcome. The staff was very friendly, helpful, attentive and impeccable. The desserts were the hammer. We like to return here.

Das Essen war mehr als nur lecker. Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss. Die Maronensuppe ein Traum. Die Rinderbacke sehr zart und die Rotweinjus soo lecker. Wir hatten nicht mal ansatzweise den Wunsch etwas nachzuwürzen. Warum auch? Alles sehr intensiv und aromatisch. Wir möchten wieder kommen. Zander in Bacon einzuwickeln.. Darauf muss man erst einmal kommen. Alles Gute weiterhin.
Found by chance on a second Christmas day: right outside the old town, where all tourists go, this real place with (obviously, it is a wine bars great wines, some fairly professional cooking and a attentive, friendly staff. This is where the locals go, and they're good. Price/quality: more then OK.
Beautiful cozy ambience, also suitable for a group. Food was good, but it was inconvenient. I'd like to have more wums or something more taste on my salad. Service attentive without being noticeable. Finding parking is not so easy.
Nice meal, very friendly service and generally happy atmosphere. Good to drink, too! Near/in the Parc of Schöntal.
