we had a pleasant dinner, start with sashimi and fish and steak as net. eating was excellent and there is nothing to be critical. my wife says that the sauce with the sweets can have worn too much soy sauce, but. that is a thing of individual taste. the service was nice, although they sometimes struggle because it was full. I have seen some critical remarks on the service, but I found it very friendly. the only critical note concerns the wine. I had two glasses from the open weeping, a saw blanc and the chardy. on the sav blanc I had asked where it came from and that was Slovenian. nothing is wrong with it, but for a Slovenian sav blanc is perhaps a bit above the top. the price of the chardy...
at first I wanted to have an dinner at schumachers, but warned in the hotel that the restaurant was earlier better, but it will get its rest back. it is good that I trusted my first choice because the tasting was many unreadable! like. as far as it is understood, the tasting menu changes every week. from mai to mai, they had mangosalmonsalat (very fresh and well selected for the early part), ravioli with truffle sauce (markable) and roasted quail with ratatouille and kartoffel (succulent and tender). the dishes were accompanied with fresh and fruity atrocities. the wee that is created especially in Slovenia for this special restaurant! isn't it amazing!? highly recommended and appreciated
It has been a pleasure to explore this restaurant in this small city nearby Cologne. For sure a very good choice to take the sole: extraordinary delicious! Moreover also the service and the environment was exquisite so that we spent a wonderful evening surrounded by very nice people. Only the entrance with the air trap needs some improvements to protect the guests from the cold wind outside.

I had spent years in Germany and remembered the taste of a traditional German meal that I had in several places. I wanted that and found it at schumachers. we went to an early dinner we tried. the chicken noodle suppe fantastic. then the carving, red cabbage and bratkoffel wow it was as good as I remembered so many years ago.
Favourite restaurant!!! Gourmet local with fair prices, super service, top cuisine (only regional, fresh ingredients) and excellent wines. There is always a very pleasant, charming and unobstructed atmosphere. There is also a beautiful terrace for the warmer days. Absolutely recommended!!!

I was invited to a company Christmas dinner and enjoyed the experience. the food was fresh and tasty and the table service friendly. Concise menu, but perfect balance.
