Only disappointment was the lack of any jelly or cranberry or currant sauce, to which I am accustomed. Auch 2015 waren wir mit unserem Verein zum Weihnachtsessen im Schwanenbräu in einem Nebenzimmer. Wir hatten das Essen nicht vorbestellt, es konnte a la Carte gegessen werden. only reason not a i suppose is the service is always slow. but if you are relaxed it does not matter. i gave the place nextdoor, resengourg also a four. both i believe are worth a visit. service is faster at resen for beer...and attention to customer needs, but if you only have one choice, hit the Schwanenbrau for the combined homeade beer and food. both are very different, but both are traditional gasthouses

A local and regional favorite. The food was unbelievable. All the meats are cooked to perfection The home,made potatoes are rich and flavor-full. The light and dark beer is what it is all about. Walk thru the quaint town afterward get an ice cream and...look through the trendy shops. What a stress free relaxing day driving thru the beautiful German countryside.
Im Dezember 2015 habe ich als Beilage Pommes Frittes gewählt. Leider keine gute Wahl. Die Fritzen waren fast kalt und scheußlich matschig. Das war ungeniesbar. Die Einrichtung der Räume ist sehr geschmackvoll. Das Bier ist ausgezeichnet. Die Lage am Marktplatz ist unübertroffen. Man kann draußen und Drinne gut sitzen. Leider fehlt ein guter Koch.
Wir sind öfter zu Gast im Hause Schwanenbräu. Das Essen ist üppig und lecker. Von Sauerbraten über Schnitzel oder Roulade: alles zu empfehlen! Danach einen leckeren Schnaps aus der eigenen Brennerei (Haselnuss).Der Service ist freundlich und das Essen kommt gemeinsam für die ganze Truppe. Immer wieder gerne zu Gast bei Familie Dotterweich!
Drei von vier Gästen waren vom Essen sehr angetan,der Service war freundlich,aber wegen einer größeren Gruppe von Wanderern total überlastet.Dadurch mußten wir bei 30 Grad recht lange auf unsere Getränke,die man eigentlich schnell erhofft,warten.Wer so viele Plätze anbietet sollte auch ausreichend Personal vorhalten...

Tolles Essen und herrliche Gespräche mit Einheimischen und der Paula, der Bedienung. Man wird sofort in Gespräche eingebunden, nicht wie Fremde behandelt. cool
