I recently dined at this incredible steakhouse, and I have to say, it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic evening.The steak? Absolutely top-notch! Perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor—everything you'd want in a great steak. But what really stood out was their family recipe cole slaw. It was the perfect balance of tangy and creamy, with just the right amount of crunch. You can really taste the tradition and love in every bite. We traveled four hours from home and decided to have dinner at the Scioto Ribber, as it had been highly recommended by others on Facebook. Unfortunately, we were not impressed at all! Our server was fantastic, but the food was just mediocre. We each ordered the Ribeye, which was decent but definitely not "OMG this is the best steak I've ever had" good. To make matters worse, when the charge appeared on our bank statement three days later, we found that they had overcharged us beyond what the bill indicated. Thankfully, we keep our receipts for a few days. We won’t be returning.

We have been enjoying meals at the Scioto Ribber since 1982, and the food has consistently been excellent. They serve the best steaks in Ohio! Their Ribber fries are unique and delicious, so don't miss out on those. Be sure to try the German slaw as well. Their ribs offer a different experience compared to most places; they resemble long pork chops made primarily of white meat. The BBQ sauce served on the side is fantastic. After your meal, you can take a short drive of about a mile to see the Portsmouth Floodwall Murals, which are numerous and truly remarkable.

Went here for a birthday dinner. We were very disappointed with our meal especially my Mom. Her ribs were not ribs but pork loin and very dry. Seems they might have been grilled but they were not slow cook BBQ. No smoke ring and very tough. The Ribeye steak was good but not excellent. Seems like a poor cut to start with, plenty of fat but not marbled well. It was either fat or muscle. No excuse for this from a place that is suppose to hand cut their steaks. If you want to get a SMOKED,DELICIOUS,BUTTERY STEAK THAT DOESN'T NEED ANY SAUCES GET IN YOUR VEHICLE LIKE YESTERDAY AND HEAD OUT TO SCIOTIO RIBBER! It was started in 1978 Family owned business and let me tell you the Cole Slaw was his Mom's recipe smack smack) those Ribber Chips can't get these in a bag) SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT! This place is great for wonderful steaks. We just love it and make the 1 trip often when in th mood for outstanding steak. There are other more expensive places in the state but the Scioto Ribber always has great steaks, good sides and wonderful service.

If you look at the menu when you first go in you'll think it's a bit pricey. When you get your food, you will absolutely change your mind. It's about 30-70 dollars a person for steak meals, but you won't be able to eat it all even though you want to.

Love this place!! The steaks are huge!! Waitress was great and attentive. Prices are not bad. Any of the steaks can be shared. Everything we have had is great. We live over 2 hrs away and anytime we are going by we have to stop. Reserva una mesa ahora

Not worth the money. My steak was nowhere done as I ordered Ribs were not even ribs at all and were cold. Fries was cold to. Waste of money won't be back

Top knotch steaks, and overall food is great. For a town that’s going down hill, this place could thrive anywhere.
