I had the worst customer service experience at this restaurant! The woman at the counter rudely asked if I wanted to eat raw chicken when I inquired about getting my order completed more quickly since I was in a hurry. Then, after I ordered a meal with a side of quinoa, they mistakenly added fries instead, which was not a huge issue. The lady took the food back to remove the fries. When I asked for the check, I also inquired whether the quinoa was an upgraded side for $0.50 or an additional side for $3.50, since I noticed the fries on my plate. I sent an email 24 hours before the end of last year's business week, when the restaurant was set to reopen after the COVID closure. Unfortunately, they didn’t have time to respond, so I couldn't request to freeze my membership, which I would have liked to do. As a result, I ended up being charged for my membership even though I wanted it frozen. When I reached out for assistance, I was told there was nothing they could do to help me. A year after COVID, they still have no plans to reopen their pool, sauna, steam rooms, or whirlpools, nor do they anticipate doing so by the end of 2022. Place has a 3.2 for a reason. Absolutely horrible ownership. The showers and bathroom in the locker room are literally boarded up. Every other gym has these open to their members. Pool, sauna, steam room all closed. Leaking ceilings. This place only cares about the sports teams that run their camps and leagues on the basketball courts. Operating hours are not up to par with surrounding gyms either. I received 2 late payments when my wife’s credit card had been stolen and I gave another card in its place. Canceled membership, paid cancellation fee. 6 months later I was contacted that I did not pay an extra months membership fee and was charged $25/month in late fees up until that point. Called the facility to resolve issue, the person responsible for billing was not present at time of call, I left my name and number and was never contacted back. Fast forward another 5 months and they call out of the blue claiming I owe $400 and that if I don’t pay today, I will be sent to collections. Total scam and total shysters. The equipment is decent, but the management is disappointing. There are many missing amenities, such as a sauna and pool, and guest passes are overpriced at $15 for a single day. Prices have increased without any noticeable improvements. When I tried to use a free day pass they offered me, they refused to honor it, acting as if they had never seen such a thing before. While the staff members are friendly, the management is quite rude. It's easy to forget that you're the customer here. I recommend choosing another gym to save your money.
This club has really declined. It was fantastic before the pandemic, but now many facilities are closed. There's no pool, sauna, jacuzzi, or steam room, and they don't provide towel service for showering. Each time we inquire about the return of any of these services, the owner offers a new excuse. For the price, the experience is decent, but it's only slightly better than Planet Fitness. If the membership fees go up by even a dollar, I would consider cancelling.
I enjoy this place for its beer selection. A bottle costs $3, while a shot of Absolut vodka is $7. My wife ordered soda water with a shot of Absolut on the side to avoid getting over-served. Her drink and my beer came to $12 with tax. It's a great spot for beer, but I wouldn’t recommend coming here for mixed drinks unless you want to spend too much.
