Wonderful and lively range of vendors growing rapidly each year. I would estimate half produce and raw goods, including 1-2 organic farms, and half prepared goods, from microgreens to prepared dinners, and of course from soup to nuts. Perhaps 30 or more vendors total, with many, many winning vendors. Chance to get to know your farmers, the pace of the harvest, as well as see folks from Scotch Plains, Fanwood and the other neighboring towns (including Scotch Plains Gardening Club, which hands out free seeds sometimes! . We truly love this market! It has an excellent selection of fresh vegetables, beautiful plants, and great vendors. We’ve been visiting for several years and really miss it during the winter. We've developed friendly connections with a few of the vendors and always look forward to chatting with them. It's the best local farmers market around!
It's just ok. Good variety of vendors but you have to sell a kidney to buy anything. Soups stand charging $14, bread at $12 and a few other pricey options. I had one of the worst $4 cookies I ever ate at the market place. It was dry, clumpy and tasteless.
I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I really enjoyed interacting with the vendors. The produce was outstanding!
