Scotties Frozen Custard

My summer-long quest for roadside eateries in Connecticut brought me to a gorgeous spot today, complete with some delicious food! Scottie's Frozen Custard offers a variety of lunch options at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, I didn't leave any room for frozen custard, so I guess a return visit is in order... Today, I tried the 6-ounce Angus burger, the Fries Frenzy (seasoned, breaded fries), and a large soft drink. I recently visited this restaurant with a large group on a Tuesday evening. Despite the size of our party, the service counter handled our orders efficiently, and the food arrived promptly. I tried the shrimp burger, which was delicious and unique, complemented perfectly by the mango salsa. I also ordered fries and a custard, which was, as expected, fantastic. Although they were out of my usual choice, chocolate, I decided to take a chance on the Pina Colada flavor, and I would definitely get it again! The service was friendly, there was ample parking, and plenty of seating available under a covered pavilion. Overall, it's an excellent snack shack!

It is absolutely the best custard!! I love the sundaes and the vanilla and chocolate custard!! So rich and creamy! I do not care for the other flavors. The other flavors are artificial syrups that they add to the chocolate or vanilla custard and blend to get another flavor (ex coconut, pistachio, blue moon) to me these are so fake. However, I just stick to the original and am never disappointed! We have also tried the hot food. Everything has been very good. Fries and onion rings are not the biggest portions, but that's to be expected. Staff friendliness is hit or miss.

I arrived just before closing time and ordered a cheeseburger, chili fries, and a twist custard cone. The burger was excellent, but unfortunately, the fries had an unexpected seafood flavor. On the bright side, the chili for the fries was really good. The custard cone was likely the best frozen custard I've ever tasted. Our families favorite Colchester,CT restaurant. Food is great never been disappointed. Owner cares about his customers, had a mishap with our food one time and he made it right once he was made aware of the situation. Will be returning over and over!

One of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. Prices are fair, the staff were very friendly and the outdoor seating is very nice. I will be returning here in the near future.

Scotties is truly fantastic! The custard is thicker and melts more slowly, making it perfect for kids. This is our go-to spot for family visits every Thursday!

My wife and I love Scorries frozen custard, maybe better than ice cream! This is a great summer treat.
